Yes. I highly recommend them How's shrinkage with a cold wash and hang dry? No shrinkage noticeable at all with cold wash and hang dry. Definitely shrinkage with a machine dry though.

I'm wearing my crosscut flannel today for the first time and holy crap, this thing is unbelievably warm. It damn near feels like i'm wearing a blanket -- i'm sweating like a pig in this thing. love it

Thinking of picking up a crosscut flannel but damn, can't decide if I want the red or blue. I can't find the red one anywhere. Now that i have the blue i want the red. Its a great compliment to indigo. Amazing quality and fit too. 3sixteen hit this one out of the park imo

How is the sizing on the shadow selvedge type 3? I've read that sizing up a size is typical. Their fit guide would also suggest this

Its also longer than a typical type-3, but sizing up is right.

Thanks gaseousclay . It's going to be tough to decide but I'm leaning towards the blue one Do eet. Either color choice is nice and well worth it. I seriously can't get over how much I love my crosscut flannel. I don't know how cold it gets in AZ but it's by far the warmest flannel I own and you will likely be very warm wearing it indoors

I've been wearing my IH ultra heavy flannels for easily a month now at nights, the crosscut will be perfect for AZ.
you went with the blue one right?

yeah i've got the blue one as does Bugula I believe. I initially went with a size medium because I assumed there would be zero shrinkage if I did a cold wash/hang dry but it felt a little too fitted, so I exchanged it for a large, which is what I normally wear in other brands, and it's perfect. the red crosscut appears to be sold out everywhere but the blue one seems available in limited sizes.

I got a large from theclassroomshop.com/ but I believe I got their last one as it's not listed in the size array. for reference, i'm 5'11, 175 lbs, and have a 38-39" chest.

I think I will go XL if I pull the trigger. i wear an XL in the 127 which is fairly fitted on me. the 3sixteen XLs have much more play to them but still fit well. just trying to give you a comparison.

Damn I don't know what size I should get now based off of your comments and bugula's comments. I'm right at 6 foot, 178 lbs with a 42" chest and I'm thinking I should get the XXL now that I've reviewed the size chart and took your comments into consideration. A 19.25"-19.50" shoulder with a 47"-48" chest is my sweet spot for heavy flannels. I can even do a 20" shoulder probably. Plus it says they will shrink an inch in all dimensions with a hot was and dry. The XL would most likely be fitted from the get go with no room for shrinkage.

Am I wrong thinking these are pretty long flannels? It's about an inch and a half longer than my IHSH-101 in the arms and length. Is the length perfect for you? IIRC I think you're 3 or 4 inches taller than me.
