Cool, thanks. My Save Khaki are a little short, but still better than many brands, I'll give the 3 Sixteens a try, the weight is definitely appealing. bentin I see side seams on my 3sixteen t-shirts so that means they are not tube knit, doesn't it?? Correct.

ickes what size HeavyT did you go with? Did they shrink a lot? I went Large with Black, Charcoal and white but will probably go XL with Indigo because they shrink more. No shrinkage with cold wash and hang dry, noticeable shrinkage with cold wash and low heat machine dry

Love those Red Wing boots. I've never been a boot guy for casual wear (worn them at work for 20 years now) but I've been thinking of picking up some boots this winter for casual wear and of all the boots I've looked at those Red Wings are the ones I keep coming back to. Theres a Red Wing shop about 10 miles from my house. Thinking I will head down one weekend and find out my size. Just not sure on which color to get.

Do their flannels shrink a lot? Last year I bought the blue crosscut flannel, this one : www.selfedge.com/?route=product/product&product_id=1276As you can read in the disclaimer it says the shirt will shrink 1" with a cold wash. I was very surprised because the description for the same shirt on the 3sixteen site said no shrinkage with a cold wash, and 0,5" shrinkage with a hot wash. I had a few emails about this with Andrew himself and he confirmed the shirt wouldn't shrink with a cold wash. Well, after wearing the shirt, somehow I needed to wash it. I gave it a cold soak. It shrunk 0,5" in the shoulders, 0,75" in length and almost 1" in the chest. This year I bought the red shaggy check. I sized up. When it went online the description said the same as last year, no shrinkage with a cold wash, 0,5" with a hot wash. But what's interesting is that a couple of days later they changed the description and now it says : 1” shrinkage in all dimensions with a hot wash (minimal shrinkage with cold wash/hang dry).

I'm gonna pull the trigger someday on some Redwings. Might have to schedule a day trip to their factory someday when i have more time. I found some Redwing mocs at Nordstrom Rack not long ago but they were standard D width which felt tight on my bulbous feet.

so what's the consensus then on sizing for the crosscut flannel? I'm torn because i'm leaning toward either 3sixteen's crosscut flannel or Freenote's lancaster flannel. Both are roughly the same price.
Size S M L XL Chest 20" 21.5" 22" 23" Length 28.75" 29.5" 30.5" 31.5" Sleeve 24.5" 26" 26.5" 27" Should 16.5" 17.5" 18" 19"
If I were to buy a size based on 3sixteen's fit guide above a medium would be perfect, but if there is shrinkage even with a cold wash then i'd go with a large. Did you guys size down? TTS? Up one size?

Since we've already compared our FNC sizes I'll tell you I have a large crosscut flannel and it fits great. So I'd probably go for a medium with 3sixteen as well

So I'd probably go for a medium with 3sixteen as well good to know. does your crosscut flannel fit similarly to your Freenote Lancaster flannel? which color did you get? I also didn't see the weight listed on 3sixteen's site. Is their flannel a heavyweight? it's hard to tell looking at pictures but i'd guess it's 8oz or above.

I got this one last year. It was a special run with Woodlands (Tannner). I think they made 24 of them or something like that. As for the fit, it's hard to compare since it is a much heavier fabric but I guess they fit similarly. I'll try to post measurements of both for you this weekend.

P.S. I ripped these from the 3sixteen Instagram. Every shirt is different due to the pattern on the fabric.

Alright gaseousclay, as promised. 3sixteen flannel size large Pit to pit 21.75" Center back 30.25" Shoulder 18.25" And I think you are right about the weight. It didn't say when I bought it but it's probably about 8oz.

Compared to Freenote Cloth flannel size large
Pit to pit 22.25" Center back 30.75 Shoulder 18.5" Weight is probably 5-6 oz
