yeah, the price is what's kept me from buying. My front pocket shell wallet from Ashland ran me $120 including shipping but the FSG's are $50 more. Still though, very nice pieces

I saw those when checking out their Aldens. For that price, I'd need more than just a card holder.

Chester Mox and Makr both do similar stuff too.

fwiw, the FSG wallets are made in-house at Context Clothing. whether or not they're worth the mark-up is up to the consumer, but given the demand of shell I'm guessing they'll have no problems selling them. if I had some spare change lying around i'd bite

At first it didn't bother me but now I look at it and think it's incredibly sloppy. the FSG wallet looks like it was put together with care and attention to detail, whereas my Ashland wallet looks like it was cobbled together in a hurry.

I remember seeing that in the Ashland thread and thinking it was bad. I would have returned it. I have two wallets by them and they are top notch.

I remember seeing that in the Ashland thread and thinking it was bad. I would have returned it. I have two wallets by them and they are top notch. At that point I had already waited 3 months for it, so decided to keep it. Someone over on SF said theirs had the same unfinished edge. The fact is, this should never have left Ashland in the first place. Either they don't know how to properly sew a wallet or they didn't think it looked bad. Needless to say, I won't be buying another wallet from them. I'm sure they do fine work with their other wallets but this just left a bad taste in my mouth.
