i was wondering what everyday shoes you guys wore with your jeans other than boots or sneakers. I am well stocked with boots and sneakers but don't really have a go to pair of shoes.

Dress them up, dress them down. I can wear them and have worn them with a suit, navy/light grey/light brown, chinos, denim, indigo/brown/grey/ox2s. I've been reaching more often for my walnut Strands lately, but will be giving my Mora 2.0s more wears.

The Grenson's are definetly my style and look like a great pair of shoes. But, the Wolverine's are a close second. Thanks.

devastitis I'm in the same boat and that is why I don't have them. I'd really like to find something in the navy rub off but not a longwing and still with the storm welt. Grenson has offered it in a double monk and they have a regular brogue but with a crazy sole www.endclothing.com/us/grenson-archie-v-brogue-5067-120v.html They just haven't put together the version that I'm looking for.

The wolverines are the only ones pictured that I would wear with jeans. Wing tips need khakis at least, loafers can be okay but not bit loafers. A plain Oxford or boat shoes work best with jeans IMO.

I have the Grenson Sid in burgundy and was very disappointed in the quality of the leather. Too thin and cardboardy and doesn't age well at all. I also have the Grenson Fred brogue boots in black and they seem somewhat better quality for some reason.
If you like these styles, I'd go Tricker's every time. Significantly better quality, much more substantial, but over 50% more expensive. A much better long-term buy though, as long as you do quality resoling.

I think I've seen people pull it off, but I've never been able to look right pairing wing tips with jeans, it's amazing how wrong it tends to look. I want to say maybe the ae wingtip boots have been done, but I wouldn't recommend it. For what it's worth, though, I don't feel as though boat shoes work with anything but shorts, and nobody should ever wear loafers, even if one feels they were in a fraternity that justifies it. I find that jeans are good for simple leather sneakers, boots, or plain toes (oxfords). Sometimes even a cap toe can come off strange (though the iron ranger is super versatile somehow), so when pairing to jeans, I try to just keep it simple for best results.

Dr Martens 1461. A few colors available. You can get the UK made or Asian made which are cheaper. Many prefer the better quality of the UK versions but Asian aren't bad for the $. Red Wing Beckman Oxford. Other colors available.

winterland The Beckman oxfords are nice and I think the Doc Marten's are too clunky. Thanks
