congrats dude, well worth the wait - i know you'll love it! thanks, dude. I nabbed it for several reasons, the first being I don't know if the Ridgeline is a seasonal item and how much longer this jacket will be offered. Second, I effectively ruined my G waxed trucker with the otter wax, something I should never have done. I thought it looked good when I first waxed my trucker but now I think it looks like sh*t. I'll still wear it but it'll be my beater jacket. Anyway, the Ridgeline is my first RT purchase and I look forward to wearing it as it gets cooler out.

bugula - please put the pics back up! sorry, deleted last night from imgur. gone forever. Clearly the only solution is to buy more stuff to absolve yourself of these silly sins. Awaiting new pics...

Cool, just so long as you share them somewhere. You've been buying some cool stuff that a lot of us haven't seen elsewhere.

no hurt feelings - didn't feel that it was even ribbing in all honesty. the conversation just shifted to money vs. what was being posted so i'll take that stuff to the topics they belong in for discussion.

Womp womp. Don't start buying watches then. Some recent purchases on the Rolex Forum dwarf anything we do. AP and Patek included.

bentin-I wondered the same thing but it works for me-I was able to buy an omega seamaster in perfect condition a few years ago from a trunk sale at a tourneau store for under $1000 because someone traded it in for a new shiny piece for their collection.

just ordered the Levi's waxed canvas trucker. Got it for 20% off, so $102.40 shipped. I'll report back on the fit and quality once I get it.

I have 4 right now, which would've been 5 if Lawless hadn't gone awol with my Cruiser order. My G trucker is essentially ruined because I waxed it with Otter Wax. I might still wear it on occasion but right now I think it kinda looks like crap. I wear my Filson sometimes and I just got my RT Ridgeline a few days ago, so haven't had any opportunities to wear it. I figure for $100 and some change the Levi's waxed trucker was worth a try. All I know is, I'm not spending $400+ for a LevisxFilson trucker.

It'll eventually work in. That plus wearing it out and beating it up. It'll look good with time. Trust me.

I think it looks pretty bad. I probably over-waxed it, which is why it still has that white flakey residue. whiskerriver is likely correct about taking a heat gun to it, but I honestly can't be bothered with that right now

And wearing it. It'll look slick, ace. It will. Otter wax ages nicely. I was concerned that I (and probably did) overwax my sling bag, but the blow dryer melted it, it smeared into/melted into the canvas, and it looks awesome now.

I have a heat gun already. it's what I used to wax my jacket to begin with. this is one of those 'when I have time' projects. i'll probably just use my heat gun and a cut up t-shirt to rub the excess wax into the fabric

After that if you used to much wax, use a Stiff cleaning brush to take any excessive wax off (be careful not to over brush or it will fur the cloth).
