I'm in Portland so yeah, there's a bunch of body mods that are even more mainstream than the national average. The piercer who did mine said Prince Alberts are fairly common and he even does 2-3 Apadravyas a month. My wife was hesitant about this at first but got on board after reading up on the "benefits" for a bit. She has tattoos and piercings as well so she's far more open minded of such things as a result. You're right though, it's incredible how taboo certain things were such a short time ago and how accepted they are now. Well enjoy. Genesis P Orridge is featured in that book and I was/am a big fan of early Psychic TV, especially the Live Series they did. PTV was heavily influenced by all cultures and liked to practice information dissemination in a time before the internet. Fun stuff. "Our aim is wakefulness, our enemy is dreamless sleep"

Purchased an Apadravya piercing yesterday. Technically I'm wearing it so thought this would be a good forum to post in. Also, none of you actually know me IRL so I can (admittedly) be an attention whore without risking my coworkers finding out and labeling me a deviant. SFW pic of said piercing: Dude. Ouch. Where did you go?

I was at Mildblend, this past Saturday, and got a close-up of the PBJ Indigo Jacquard Paisley. A thing of beauty. Tried on the largest size(5) they had. Close, but not quite. I checked OD, as soon as I left the store, and grabbed the last size 6. On it's way to me, now. Followed it up today, with the new PBJ 1139 Selvedge Chino(camel). Used my rewards points to knock a total of $50 off. Paid $285 for both. I'll be content, for a couple of weeks...

Was looking to pick up a decent oxford shirt, and tried a Brooks Brothers Supima cotton MIUSA in their regence slim fit, and have to say that it has a very nice taper to the body, and great mid-heavyweight oxford cloth. There are a few sellers of these on E-bay, and for $59 bucks, they are a decent deal.

Pendelton Canyon Ombre in Peacock @ D*ll@rds. Wool, slim? How's the fit? Made in Mexico? Man, I thought all their stuff was made in USA. Frick. I never dialed in my fit with Pendelton. I'm either a standard XXL (which this is) or an XLT. If it does not fit I can take it right back to Pendelton. Ahh website says NOT MiUSA. WEll, not SEWN in USA... >>> A Western-style men’s shirt in our machine-washable Umatilla wool, sourced from Oregon ranchers and woven in our American mills. Designed with classic Western details like pearlized snaps and peaked yokes. Bias-cut pockets and shirttail hem. Long sleeves. Tall fits men 6' and up. • Pure virgin wool • Fabric is woven in our American mills • Machine wash • Imported of USA fabric

As far as I've seen, anything in the last decade is MiC for cotton and MiMex for wool. I do think their blankets, at least the nicer ones are still MiUSA. At least the one I got for my mom a few years ago was made on the Chimayo reservation.

Also, a sucker for green and blue. Plus this is one of those will go with darn near any pants. And I have been on a tear lately. I think I am moving on from "I have a lot of clothes" too, "I'm ready to have mostly all good clothes".

I grabbed one of these for $100 shipped. I'm not a sweater guy and currently own none. Worst case, I wear it around the house at night and occasionally to the alley. (yes, I bowl...but non league)

Pendelton Canyon Ombre in Peacock @ D*ll@rds. Wool, slim? How's the fit? Made in Mexico? Fit sucked, XXL is huge. My next stop on Pendelton would be XLT but I suspect that will be cut huge and not to my liking. Which reminds me, I never got back on the Vermont Flannel fit bandwagon. I had tried 2 of their sizes and intended to try 2 more to finally figure their large cut sizing out.

(yes, I bowl...but non league) FYI: I'm a 46L/XLT and this sweater in XL fits me fine. It's a bit boxy but not overwhelmingly so. Apparently the wool is from Oregon and it's MiC. For the price I paid I'm fine with it. Not like I'm going to outgrow it. Now I gotta go make me a white russian.

northcoast just reminded me about Vermont Flannels, they updated their website from my last visit and they got a sizing chart now Dropped by TS yesterday and used my GC before I forgot. I ended up getting chinos since I need some. I was going to get the Moto Utility but I go too much flannels/work shirts.

Great start to the New Year spending season! It certainly has been. I payed full price($350) for the PBJ x BOW collab, of course. But, I was able to nab the 155 for $182, new, direct from JP. The RRL was $70, clearance sale, from Supply & Advise.

Got my 3sixteen heavyweight henley yesterday. I dig it. The sizing is kinda wonky though. Based on their fit chart I sized up and glad I did. My xl fits like a large. Think i'll be picking up the grey and indigo henley down the road depending on how my black one shrinks in the wash.
