Hi all, would like to wash my Japan heavies. Wouldn't mind a bit of shrink. Suggestions? I haven't washed raw denim before some reading suggests soaks are best, perhaps a hot soak? Any guidance appreciated, cheers.

I don't measure, so I can't tell you exactly how much, but they stretch back easily. I also machine washed then once, and they do stretch back

Agitation is said to contribute to more shrinkage. If you don't want it to stretch back in the waist, very much wear a belt.

I normally just crank it up to add hot as my bathwater get, which I have it sweet to 43º Celsius
