Filed a $375 compliant. Didn't add any paper work with it. I'll dig it up later if needed.

I like these two comments. Very convenient to have lost their list of orders!
"24. Defendants lost business records that allowed them to track what specific consumers ordered, how much was paid, whether merchandise was produced and delivered, or whether the consumer received a refund. 25. Defendants have failed to recover this information and cannot provide refunds to consumers without assistance."

I hope everyone takes an opportunity to complete the form to the AZAG. For all of the orders on this site alone, the AG should see the validation of this fraud.

I hope I can find anything looking like a receipt .... the only thing I have for sure is a credit card charge ...
anyway, if (great "if") I should receive anything back, I would rather donate it to a charity (as I have long time written of the money paid) ... has anyone got a suggestion for a treasured charity in Arizona (Sheriff Joe Arpaho will not be considered as a valid charity)?

drstrange I think this is great! Count me in. I will also donate when/if a refund is ever received. Money has been long written off and lessons learned.

drstrange modslife - I too am opting to donate potentially. I'm not in for much ($39.50) but it's a matter of principle to see closure on this thread. Getting the dollars back in hand first. Two ideas on the charitable idea: put the money back into Phoenix-area small business denim and buy something from Manny at Indigogene. The other would be starting here and picking one that seems to fit your interests.

thanks Matt ...
on second thought, it might be a good idea to support Manny - if the 'dividend' is enough to pay for one of his trousers (plus shipping) ... as my loss is USD 253.- it's not completely impossible ... if not, and whatever remains definitely goes to charity (and I'll go through the list to see what might be to my liking) ... there is no way I am taking any money physically back from Roman and that is definitely a matter of principle (or call it hubristic pride ...) ... I certainly do not cotton up to the idea of giving someone USD 100.- and getting back USD 50.- three years later and be happy with it ...

drstrange matt Great points. I like the Idigogene / Manny angle too. And I believe we are all on the same page and do not see IG/Manny as charity but rather as a deserving investment!

Has anyone opted to share the AZAG press release with Heddels.com? There isn't as much traffic here since the news broke and that's probably in part because many of the people who were left high and dry have no idea that there's a solution being provided.

I think it popped up on styleforum, haven't seen it elsewhere.

no, I don't see IG/Manny as a charity, maybe as a sort of development assistance (as, leaving out any potential refund, for the next couple of years I wouldn't be buying anything from him) .... but frankly, the idea of Roman having to pay (supposedly unwillingly) for the business development of his former employee would include quite some satisfactory momentum ....
well, let's dream and see what happens ....

From the Heddel'a article. In an interview with a local news station, Acevedo says “the moral of the story is that American-made is almost impossible to do for a small business.” I think you’ll find the majority of the brands on this site as evidence to the contrary -Ed

In an interview with a local news station, Acevedo says “the moral of the story is that American-made is almost impossible to do for a small business.” I think you’ll find the majority of the brands on this site as evidence to the contrary -Ed that being the lesson he pulled from this experience is exactly the problem. It seems that those companies that manage to hold on to customer records are far more successful. If this as a whole says anything about American-made, it's that it can't be done for less than the mass-produced Mexican counterparts, and that the companies they pretty ruthlessly took shots at were actually right where they should be when it comes to price.

I've completed my complaint. Provided copies of the order confirmation and payment receipts for each. The online form makes filing the complaint pretty straight forward.
A couple pieces of information for anyone dragging their feet like I have been: - The site says you must provide documentation validating the sale -- I don't know if they want any correspondence about the order sent to them, but if you have an easy record of that I'm sure it wouldn't hurt for receiving restitution. - You have until September 5th to file a complaint. After that date they aren't accepting more.

I shall be filing one of these complaints today. I thanks you all for bringings this to my attentions. I shall invest any returns I get into the stock markets. Buy low and sell high...that is what I always say.
