Yeah, pity about the fit. I'd love to try PBJ, but the tiny thighs and huge cuffs are just stupid. Agreed. PBJ's fits are frustrating. I think they would have broader appeal if their denim wasn't made for dudes with skinny chicken legs. The cut on the xx-019 is weird too -- wider thighs with an aggressive carrot taper And such a huge rise that only the prematurely old men that like Epaulet must like it.

I don't understand the dismay, about the slim taper cut. I have 3 pair(AI-003, XX-014, XX-017). Now, I don't have squatters thighs, but I have substantially more leg than any "chicken legged" man I've ever met. For comparison, I've got a couple of pairs of IH-666, and my PBJ have more thigh room and smaller cuffs than those pairs. Granted, the 666 is slim straight cut. So, the cuff should be smaller. But, the thigh room is the point I'm really trying to drive home, here.

Everything is 8.5" plus cuff for a 35" waist, which is a half an inch to an inch bigger than I'd prefer. The only cut of theirs that comes close for me is the 633 Self Edge cut. The PBJ cut is just tight in the thigh for the given cuff size. If I felt like abusing myself trying to stretch a pair out to the pre soak waist size, I could almost make them work. Or pay the premium to have a brand new pair of jeans chopped up and re tapered.

I was into this one, relaxed-tapered is the only thing that would work for me though...but that hem is just way too small for my taste.

Wow, hadn't looked at the relaxed tapered. Cuff would be about ideal, but that inseam isn't going to work for me.
In summary, the Slims are a top block for early Tom Hanks in Big, and the lowers are for his older character mid 80's.
The Relaxed are the top block for Chris Farley and the lowers for a David Spade.

Just a little bit longer would be nice. I have the PBJ xx-020s which are also slim tapered, but their raw inseam is 37.5, so they land where these begin after a wash. Ah well. I wonder what other special items might drop during their 20th anniversary...they haven’t done a flannel in a while that I’ve seen. I’d go for something like that.

Would love to pick up some PBJ jeans, however, agree with others...a big wtf on sizing. Fits can be and are esoteric but GD.

still don't get this cut. so this is for dudes with huge thighs but chicken ankles? Pretty much the latest thing and what everyone ia doinf. "Lifters cut" or "relaxed taper". I can't stand the carrot look anymore.

Any of you springing for PBJ's new type III? Not interested in theirs personally but kinda surprised they hadn't done one sooner. Wouldn't be surprised if they did a cobalt weft variant in the future

Yeah, may have to grab those. The fit is also the only PBJ one that works for me.
