Meh. Nice, but nothing I'd pay UK shoe money for. Also a far cry from natural finish. And why in the world is the lace run that wide? I think the tiny laces and tiny holes accentuate the gap. I don't like it, but it's not my $1100 so... I prefer the mini eyelets and thinner laces to the huge leather laces. Find them to look more refined. Main reason why I decided to go with the Viberg.com Natural Waxed Flesh instead of the Notre Natural Waxed Flesh. vs Granted my photo of the Notre version looks like crap, with untied laces and a picture at a bad angle closeup.

Again, your hang up, not mine. I see nothing wrong with steering someone in the right direction if G can't give what customers want. Also, I'm pretty sure G isn't losing customers since 99% of their campaigns fund. But, i'm not going to continue this circular debate with you on forum etiquette. It's silly But..you just did..by responding. "I'm not going to continue this debate, but I will continue this debate." And I can see that you see nothing wrong with doing that, just like I see nothing wrong with me giving my opinion on that as well. But, yeah, it is silly, so let's put an end to this circular debate. Stop. There's no award for being this pedantic. I don't like the guy, much like Giles or Self Edge. He could sell the coolest things and I don't care. No amount of defense will make him a cool guy.

Viberg is doing a GMTO on Styleforum for a pair of 8" Engineer Boots. It's going to look amazing. Think this is up your alley @untucked.

I keep seeing amazing boots suddenly now that Brian is making me a new pair, lol. I love the Viberg silhouette, too. I have recently been considering the black engineers, and keep having to tell myself "NO!" because I have a pair of black lace-ups in the works

Notreshop just dropped these. Thoughts, bentin? I like $200 Redwings with the fake Christy sole, i'd imagine these are not close to that price, or made in the USA. I just got back from Canada, should have dropped by and asked him for advice on some Trumans.

There's a person who did a review on r/goodyearwelt on the Notre Snuff Suedes, and they look really nice. Really clean, and well done. Can't say $500 more than Red Wings kind of well done, but certainly leaps and bounds above Red Wings. Album

Sample sale in a few weeks. Need an excuse to go to NYC with the wife. Unfortunately the sample sale won't work with her.

Anyone in Canada want to proxy for me? Vibergs are on sale at the Club Monaco Canada website, but only available to ship inside Canada. Boondockers come out to $540 CAD, or less than $400 USD, using code SHOPSPRING.

northcoast: do you live near NY? The sample sale would be perfect for you to try on and find your Viberg size.

devastitis mind telling me your size in Vibergs - 1035 last, and in Red Wing or Wolverine, if you know it, for reference?

devastitis mind telling me your size in Vibergs - 1035 last, and in Red Wing or Wolverine, if you know it, for reference? sure. I'm a 9.5D brannock. I take Viberg 2030 in size 9, 1035 in 8.5, Red Wing Moc Toes in 9, and Wolverine 1K originals in 9. If you have a wide foot, you might want to just stick with half size down from brannock in 1035.

Dev do you got a high instep and wide forefoot? What size did you order in your Truman's? I don't own any Trumans, but I've been told to go TTS with Trumans, and I'm average in instep, not high nor low, and forefoot, not wide or narrow. But I suspect my feet may have gotten bigger, as they appear a little fatter. I haven't had them measured in a year or so.

Should I pull the trigger on these? 1950 Service Boot - Cork colored Canadian Moose Originally I was looking for something a little darker - like natural CXL, but I figure the color of these will embolden and darken as they age, (or with a nice coat of Huberd's or Obenauf's). But, am I the only one with a negative inkling toward "colored" leather?? I don't know anything about the leather-making process, but Coloring just sounds so much more tacky than Tanned or Hot Stuffed. I don't know anything.
