They used to make more conventional triple needle shirts. Now they seem to be sold on the assymetric pockets and running the chain stitch off the wrong side on the right side. I'd like to take a second to point out how ridiculous chain-stitch runoff is in general, regardless of where it runs off. This is very true. I like it though and will keep it on my 170. Is there a historic precedent to a chain stitch run off or is that a modern addition? It would seem to snag things in a shop. Fortunately, my work shirt will see very little actual work.

Sent TS a message about the corded indigo utility shirt that was supposed to ship last week. No response and now the link to that shirt has been deleted from their site.

The link is back up with an Add to Cart option. So shipping must be imminent.

Taylor Stitch (lack of) quality control strikes again.
Received my Corded Indigo utility shirt today with two sleeves at different length. Left arm is correct at 25" from the shoulder to the end, unfortunately my right arm is 27.5". Not sure how this even made it past inspection.
I haven't even been able to fully form an opinion on the shirt as a whole yet because of this. It's a lot "bluer" than I thought it would be. Even though it's washed already I'll hope that some warm washes will mute that some.
Time to create a return

They really seem to have taken a sharp turn towards Gustin Alley in the last few months.

The brighter blue gives it more of that train conductor appearance

And shipped all the way from Portugal no less. I was cracking up today reading the SF TS thread and the rep posted this. I immediately thought of you. >>>> Hey All! Thank you for sharing your thoughts. On behalf of Taylor Stitch, I apologize for the lack of communication. The concerns expressed are all valid and pretty spot on. I am not making excuses when I say that we are a small team (20 people), it's simply the truth. When most e-commerce brands operate seasonally we operate monthly. It's a difficult way to operate, but it's part of what makes us unique. Putting out these monthly collections includes designing, prototyping, costing, planning photo shoots, merchandising the site and following through on all of the details that contribute to the high standard we hold ourselves too. We are aware of the concerns brought up and I assure you we are working on them. We are working on a lot, all at once, and as a result outward change does not happen as quickly as we would like. Again, on behalf of Taylor Stitch, thank you for the support and for keeping us honest. We aim to get 1% better everyday and your commentary on this forum is vital to that effort. Please feel free to reply with any follow up questions - Steve and the Taylor Stitch Team.

The Utility Cone Cord shirt is more interesting than anything I've seen from them for a while, but don't like the washed down for a lived in feel. I have a Utility shirt from Nisshinbo Mills that makes a good work shirt, but I've gravitated to other brands that fit better. Insta pass at $145. I'm spoiled for getting the one I have for something like $45 bucks on Last Call a few years ago.

Finally have my replacement Utility Cone Cord coming. Agreed that it's a unique fabric, but I wouldn't pay the full $145 for it.

Well.... replacement Corded Indigo Utility shirt came in this morning.
Same defect as my original. Right sleeve measures 28" from shoulder seam. Left sleeve measures 25".
I have a feeling TS may have a bad run on their hands.
Also, if you're on the fence about buying this shirt just note that the listed price online is $145. But the tag on the shirt itself says $118.
