What am I looking at? Looks like denim sweatpants. That's exactly what I thought! I'm surprised they opted to drop them now, if they are presumed to be a super heavyweight option. I don't mind some texture and slub, but the horizontal grain doesn't work on everyone. |

18 oz "Sapphire slub" high-tapered just dropped...denim, Type 2 jacket and a hat. Not bad. The jeans look the most intriguing. Definitely electric blue all day on the fades.

Anyone taking a dive on the 18 oz sapphire slubs? Really curious about these. If they weren't high-taper (not my style), I'd be in. Might try a hat just for sh*ts and giggles.

Has anyone else tried the high-tapered fit? Looking for a summer pair and the standard 14.8oz's are tempting (like the leather patch and pocket bags). Bit worried it may be a bit too aggressive a taper though.

As a Christmas present to myself I want a new pair of jeans. I am kind of torn between the Japan Blue denim and the Strike Gold denim sold at Self Edge. But $235 for Japan Blue VS $335 The Strike Gold. decisions decisions?!? I think, I am going to make another pilgrimage to Blue Owl work-shop I want to see the JB0626 Gozilla denim in person. This blog post from indigoshrimp has gotten me very interested the Japan Blue Godzilla jeans. Here is the link to his post on the JBO-626 he owns Indigoshrimp-JBO626GodzillaI think the the fading potential on the Japan Blue is great. I have not seen many photo's posted about the Self edge/Strikegold denim?  |
