Ciano, if these are mine, it's good to see the pics. The pockets are a definite improvement. I see you've used white thread instead of the blue I ordered originally, but to be honest I prefer the contrast, so no complaints. I'm not sure about the selvedge pockets, but it goes with the white stitching, and I can always tone that down if necessary. The main thing was getting the size and position of the pockets right, which you've done, so thanks for that. I didn't buy red to blend in with the crowd, so don't mind some individuality on it. Lucky (or wise) bastard.. those are beautiful.

Actually, I don't think these are mine. The pocket says 901 with a 33 leg, but mine are a 905 with 35 leg.
My shipped yesterday too, so there must be a run on the reds.
I'm just sorry I've missed out on the ivory stitching.

Ciano came good. After the disappointment of the original pocket sizing and spacing, I've received the replacement. This time there are no issues at all, so I'm delighted. I took advantage of the rebuild to get taped seams this time, and the larger pockets mean I can get my hands in, whereas I struggled before. Here's a pic showing before and after. New build underneath, obviously.

As an update, here's a pic in the outdoors today, worn with IH-9526V 21oz vest and RW IR Hawthornes. I like the colour a lot, as it's a nice change from the usual 50 Shades of Indigo.

First post - sorry to glom on to an old thread. I'm really curious about how these age. I just ordered a pair from Ciano, after coveting the G offerings and missing them both. I am trying to wrap my head around how denim twill dyed with anything other than indigo is going to fade. If the reason our indigo fades is because the pigment is lying on top of the fiber, allowing it to crock and chip off, how will dye that is bonded with the fiber respond to wear? Does anyone know of other types of natural dyes that crock, or is that a trait unique to indigo? Thanks in advance for all of your thoughts and expertise. PC

Can you confirm something for me?
from all of the pictures I've seen, these appear to be left hand twill. ciano doesn't mention it on his site, G didn't suggest that either or their runs were.
Williamsburg did a bright red selvedge in late 15, early 16 that was definitely LHT.
i ordered a pair of these from Ciano, and I'm thinking I might get to kill two birds with one stone in my collection.
Thanks, PC

Hi champion. Unfortunately I've hardly worn these jeans, so they haven't aged at all with me. I like them, but they just don't seem to fit with what I usually wear. I think they're more of a summer item, as I wore them occasionally with a shirt. When it comes to coloured jeans, I wear my G Japan jeans much more often, as they seem more versatile for some reason. As for LHT, I can't hep you there, as I've never understood what that means.

As a consumer service I would request you do name them, unless you know it's a particular methodology that you employ in the care of this garment that has resulted in it's early destruction.

I bought a pair of broken twills from SoSo when they did a kickstarter over the summer. The jeans are fine, but the stitching on the flat-felled seam started coming undone a few inches from the crotch almost immediately and again on one of the pockets a few weeks later. After wearing the. For about two months (not every day) one of the pocket rivets just popped off. I think that they are making me a new pair, but I haven't heard from them in a couple weeks.
