I drive a 2015 Ford Interceptor and man the new electric steering is horrible. We have had a few warranty replacements and they still suck. Clunking clicking numb overall horrible. I hate electric steering and the future of cars. Bring me back oh lord bring me back. Bah, the NSX and S2000 had excellent EPS years ago. The 991 is good, especially considering the longer wheelbase than the 997. The STI is brilliant, better than when it was hydro. I've had a couple of manual racks and prefer it to boosted, but EPS is just newer than HPS, not necessarily worse.

I'm loving the paddle shift auto in my RC-F. I'm a noob at driving a 470 hp car and don't need to be shifting while trying not to crash. It's also nice to dial back the drive mode and let it putter around in full auto in traffic. How are these cars? I've heard negative things from reviewers but they look nice. I know the base RC was grossly under powered. Are they actually fast? Also is the RC-F a true automatic or is it an automated manual? It's a torque converter auto but pretty damn quick on the shifts. 4.5 seconds 0-60, fast in my mind but my 1098 Duc would leave it for dead. I had an S2000 for a couple of years, but have never had a really powerful RWD manual sports car. Overall I'd say it's a great car for a combination of daily commute driving and occasional back road blasting. I've read all the same reviews proclaiming the M4 to be 10x better on the track and the bench racing magazine and blog enthusiasts are piling on. I'd say it's easy to live with, fast enough to make me smile, crazy luxurious and plenty of fun. I may never track it so I don't really care about track performance.

The S2000 has EPS and anybody who doesn't like that is a complete philistine.

The S2000's have a decent amount of issues with their EPS. Torque sensors, calibration issues, etc. Steering was good don't get me wrong I love those cars but is the EPS worth it over HPS? Nahhh

No one talks about cars here anymore? Wow.... My e-Hybrid lease ended last year and I am driving a really shitty car now. Moving to our new home in couple months and cannot even afford something nice anymore. Btw, my boss does own two Tesla (S and X) and those are awesome... Wife's loaner for this week. Weakest car in the P-car lineup and not worth the money.

Hopefully Tesla gets their manufacturing down before Gustin. I pi love the Cayenne, it allows soccer moms to fund GT3 RS's and 718's. I smile a little when I see one, knowing they keep a tiny, niche player independent and making fun things. Really hoping the Pajun small sedan comes about now that VW / Audi brand equity is so maligned.

I'm in the market for a new car. Currently driving a MKV GTI with a few stage 1 mods. It's been a great car, but getting little use and a little too much abuse since moving to Chicago. I assumed it would be replaced with a tdi sportwagen, but that is out the window and we will probably end up with a Mazda 3 hatch or Honda hr-v. The hr-v seems more practical for hauling the dogs, art supplies, household project supplies, etc...but is lifeless to drive. The Mazda is more fun to drive, bit not as much cargo flexibility. Decisions decisions.

Decisions decisions. I bought a Mazda 3S GT five door manual after debating a Mk7 GTI. It's huge by my standards, coming from a Miata and BMW M Coupe. Holds a 29er mountain bike inside with room to change. Also hauls the kid and beagle around quite well with runs to Home Depot, Babies R Us and the liquor store too. It is not fast, but mostly adequate. Apparently there's 30hp available with just a tune and switch to 91 octane. I may go that route, or just buy a Focus RS when pricing stabilizes. Oh yeah, that HRV transmission is horrid. I actually planned on buying the Fit/Jazz it's based on with a manual but there was some sort of manufacturing issue and non were available when I wanted a car.

2013 Toyota Tacoma 2.4L Never going to die. The salt in the midwest will kill it before anything else. Photo from last winter when I bought my DR650 (Now sold) and before I put a cap on it.

Ah, I think when they first launched they were all CVT's. Good to see they fixed that. I liked the Fit EX manual I test drove, maybe not as sporty as the last one, but still lots of fun and they hold an amazing amount inside.

Current rumor is that next year will see a new Impreza and the following will see a return to the hatch WRX and STI, along with (finally!) a new STI motor. Also sounding like the Golf R400 is dead, boo.

However, if anyone looking to buy a new one, make sure you also check out used M235i. My co-worker just got one last week for about $33K. So much fun!!!!

an impreza hatch was on my short list going in, but recalled all of the issues my friend had with her forester a/manual trans and after a few hours of reading about the 'low oil' issues with their current line up with manual trans i decided to cross it off. i think it just needs to sink in that my current driving habitat no longer includes windy roads through the california foothills or wide open texas highways.

Had a 135i, starting to try to talk my wife into the new M2, but something about back doors, blah blah. That's why I have the dad mobile.

All the documents to extend my existing lease were ready. As soon as we decide to head back home (SF), no more fun in life.......... downhill from here. About the Cayenne, it is a brand new 2016 base model with a $85K MSRP. It looks nice and all but the drive/engine are pretty sucky. That is true that it funds all the fun cars.
