After all these, what I really need is to cut down on my total spend on clothing for 2015. 2014 was a totally undisciplined year for me and my worst behavior was buying similair items again and again, especially on bottoms and shirts. Make things even worst is the price points keep moving up with no better on the quality or style of the items. The enablers definitely brought out the irresponsible side of me that I must correct for 2015. I have to put my family and retirement first on spending than keep buying the same things with even higher price. I must stop. Don't beat yourself up too badly, it's not as if this $$ spent wasn't a good investment...the looks you get from the ladies (and men) as you enter a room wearing your special jeans and shirts will continue paying large dividends

Thanks. I thought the ladies were actually looking at the misalignment of the plaid pattern and also were noticing my shirt front is about 1.2cm too long. I am sure they were also concern my selvedge rainbow ID is not a great match with the yellow weft of my slim fitted 18.5oz. More I think about it, I maybe worried too much.

I just chatted with Roman and he said they are currently working on order in 400s and for mine, in 1300s I should be patient. I am. I'm order #12x (placed November 2 -11 weeks ago) and the last update I received was on December 17th stating the order was printed. At this rate it is going to take lots more than 40% to get me to order what is obviously the Gustin Okayama Standard fabric. But the new website looks good.

My order is in the 400s. Wonder if that means they're working on mine or will be working on mine soon. My update status says awaiting fulfillment.

I wouldn't give it much credence, as I have an order placed on the new site 11+ weeks ago, and it is "awaiting fulfillment". I don't even think about that one, as I am much more interested in the order placed a month before on the old site.

marauder, the shipping on a single WS from rakuten (based on the couple of orders I have made) is around $15. That is pretty damn good compared to what I usually see when ordering from the US. If I remember correctly, Gustin charged $20 or $25 for a WS, it came in a bag and took nearly two weeks. Rakuten comes in a box and arrives in about five days. If you're in TO it'll probably get to you in two or three. Plus, you get to read the always entertaining Japanese to English translations on the box and paperwork inside. Worth $15 alone! CELL BITCH!

Lol. I saw that too. Sometimes it's just fun to go on Rakuten and read auto translated descriptions of items in English.

I'm basically at the same point as julian and Old26. Brick and mortar is not really an option for me but now that I've found rakuten, I figure I can pay a little more and get things (almost) right away. I received an Iron Heart chambray WS today - paid probably $20 more than I did for my Gustin WS and it never crossed my mind that the construction and workmanship would be anything but exceptional. Plus, I'm actually shocked at how fast the shipping is from Japan. Twice as fast as from the US and I'm in Canada? Also, the cost of shipping is cheaper? Goes against all logic but here we are. Good to know. I'm in Canada too and I'm going to look into ordering stuff off Rakuten. +1 I always had the impression Rakuten sold knockoff's. If they ship to Canada all the better. Thanks mate. My order is in the 1700's so I have a bit more of a wait than others here. On a positive note, hopefully a lot of reviews will be forthcoming so I can modify my order accordingly and dial in a perfect fit.

For me, I have come to accept that I don't really need a lot of items in my daily life, and am slowly downsizing and purchasing only stuff I "need". Easier said than done of course. Good luck with your addiction

Rakuten is generally where the deals for japanese brands are. Pick any jean Self Edge sells, find it on Rakuten for at least $100 less.

Old site order #115XX, ordered on 9/20. The website at the time said 4-6 weeks until delivery. We are now on the 17th week. I have asked for a few updates along the way and have never changed the design or size. In November I was promised it would be delivered by the end of month. Sal called me on 12/4 to go over the design and sizing. I very much appreciated the call. I received an update on 12/18 that the shirt was cut on 12/8 and it should be sent out by 12/26. I asked for another update on 1/15. Have not received a response. I have held off as long as I could posting this info. Maybe this will help?

That's freakin' ridiculous. I'm getting majorly irritated at waiting 11 weeks. I can't even imagine....

They straight up LOST your order and realized it months later. Ridiculous LOL *Note: this is not a helpful post. Leaving as an example of what not to do. The issue speaks for itself, and maybe the vendor will speak to it.

I'm at 11 weeks and counting, and expect at least another 5, but who knows.
Anyway, I've lost my enthusiasm for saving a few dollars now and have emailed asking for a cancellation and refund for 4 of my 5 items, so we'll see what they say.
I'd rather put that money towards custom Boss boots now.

I've been waiting considerably longer, and have been told many excuses along the way, including stuff that if finished, but I can't get them to send it to me.

I'd be very surprised, not to mention disappointed, if they didn't jump at every chance to reduce the wait list by cancelling orders.
Plus, as my orders were all at the 50% rate, it means the hit to their profit is minimal.
Waiting 4 months for a cheap shirt and jeans is just mental, no matter how customised it might be.

It's a cheap shirt and jeans. Unless for a reason or another you need them asap, I figure it'd be easier to order and forget because they're cheap? Might also be because I'm a spendthrift and don't value money like I should..

wdw i understand that frustration, but after waiting 11 wks already i think i'd just let it sit and wait it out...hoping it would be just a few more. then after seeing how the products stack up and fit...figure out if you want to order anything in the future once the machine is running a bit more smoothly.

I am here. I have been here for just about 2 weeks now and thats why it may have declined a bit. I get only a short time here so understand I try to get into the shop as much as I can. Its important for me to dive in here. Customer service is still my # 1 priority. Please remember I worl from home most of the time so this is my chance to figure out reality for you guys and I cant do that without diving in deep into the shop. I will make a detailed post when I get back home for everyone. I leave tomorrow at 2pm with my old site order shirt by the way. I ordered that on Oct 17th and it was completed TODAY.
Sorry for my disappearance during my 2 weeks. I will be back in full swing soon

Might also be because I'm a spendthrift and don't value money like I should.. For me, life has moved on. I have my Loomies now, and they and my HAs cover my blue jeans needs. I also wear my DTBs and JOs a lot and have another couple in the G pipeline. I really don't need the LD 18.5s, so am happy to cancel if I get a refund. As for the shirts, I have so many from RL and RRL that my wife is genuinely annoyed when I buy more, so I don't mind losing the LDs as I wasn't getting anything I couldn't get similar elsewhere. The only thing I want to keep is the Moto vest, as that's something I can't easily get somewhere else. I'm not bitter about it, and wish LD every success, but it's taking so long that I'd genuinely rather do other things with the money now.

I think the prolonged waits are annoying but understandable for a new business. However to tell you the shirt is shipping out and then disappear for month? No excuse there.

Looking forward to more (as well as "the scoop" - pun partially intended - on how things are going/improving in the shop.)
