It almost seems like they said "customers are buying these large because the fabric shrinks 2"" and the sew shop understood it as "normal specs, but 1.5- 2" smaller in the waist". this. honestly i think that's what's continually happening with these things.

beardo and ickes, I will post new photos sometime soon and do my level best to keep the front of the jeans equal to the back so you can see the 17.5 measurement.

So I have a pair of Loomstates from the first run. Since I love this denim and since these were my first 'real' pair of jeans (sentimental attachment), I ordered a back-up pair from the latest run. Not surprisingly given G's stellar QC, they sent me a pair that were way too short (or would have been post-soak). So they went back to G. But before boxing them up, I snapped a couple of shots side-by-side to compare a new pair of Loomies with a broken in pair. For your amusement... imgur.com/a/cCEfo

Three hand washes in the tub.

Man, G's customer service just isn't what it was in the good old days. I've had a recent string of poor product which to their credit they took back for a refund. The Loomstates just the most recent. When I explained to them that the inseam of the Loomies was well under spec, they apologized for "my bad luck". I guess G thinks their lousy QC is really just my bad luck. But what gets me is that I just received a chatising email from G saying that they measured the *waist* of the pair I just returned and that I should be aware that they are right on spec (I guess they think I wasted their time). Yes, I agree, there wasn't anything wrong with the waist... I returned them because the inseam was way under.

I have 3 pairs of loomstates. The black, Zimbabwe and the regular loomstate. I just received the regular blue last week and wow such a nice material and just love the feel as all have said above. But my other two pairs are nothing like the regular loomstate. My black pair and the Zimbabwe just don't come close to the texture and feel of the regular loomstate. I understand the Zimbabwe is a different material but the black pair should have been the same material, or at least I assumed it was.. They just don't have near the character the regular loomstates have. Really wish they were just as rugged now that I have the real thing

Any OG Loomie updates out there? Any sick fadez pics? I've been wearing mine a lot over the last 3 months. Think it might be time for the first wash (I did an initial hot soak.)

Aha, well mine are also pretty good, but ive set them aside not to wear them out too quickly. They are aproaching peak and i know it can go quickly downhill from there so am just wearing them for special ocasions While i get some others up to speed.
If they Come back and i have the funds i really should back another pair. They are so fine.....the best from G.

Well mine are in the washing machine. We'll see what happens! A washing machine bro that's so not vintage. You need a stream and washboard.

univibe88 Are you still only wearing one pair? Are the BEAST in full retirement? Or do you have a couple pairs in rotation now?

The beasts aren't officially retired but I don't wear them much. The loomies are getting the most wear. When I'm not wearing them I really like my Indigogene.

The wash turned out pretty nice. In my house I couldn't really see any results but in the sunlight I can see lots of emerging fades, especially in the knees.
I had originally done a hot soak and air dry and worn these jeans maybe 60 times. This wash was a warm wash / cold rinse on the delicate cycle including a gentle spin cycle.
I lost some more length and went from a double cuff to a single cuff with some stack.
The top block snugged up too. I'm sure they will stretch out. I'm curious how long these will last before blowout as they are snug in the blowout region #treetrunklegs
I plan to wear these aggressively and wash them again in late August. I did a lot of urban hiking in my beasts that I believe helped them fade a lot. I haven't done that in the Loomies but by August I bet I can get 100 miles in them.

Seems you only got 6-8 months out of these.? Needle and thread should give another 2 or 3 months.
