Sweet Guzzi @stevekas ! I've also had impure thoughts about a speed triple or a monster. Cool bikes.

@univibe, my thoughts started about 4 years ago when I demo'd a Speed Triple. The demo ride was decently long and the bike kept feeling better and better. I guess compared to the weird ergos of the Guzzi, anything might feel a bit more natural. The Monster I prefer is the smaller version (796) just because I love the 2 valve Ducati L, it's pretty solid and less maintenance. Last year I rode a coworkers KTM SuperDuke and that was pretty wild. The bike was massaged a bit and had buckets of power and a distinct midrange hit. That combined with the upright riding position and wide bars reminded me of the old 500cc two stroke open class dirt bikes. It was a handful, really fun to try but I don't think I'd want to deal with that on a daily basis. stinky, you have stones man. I won't even live someplace that cold much less ride there! It's neat to see what everyone rides/will ride/did ride here.

Nice action shots, stinky.
I took my wife for her first ride on the Duc Saturday evening. Her first words were, "that's terrifying, but in a good way." Then she attacked me at bedtime. Apparently the Italian exotics really do drive the ladies wild.

Holy crap that is pretty ugly. I miss my super sports bike. Kinda wanna get back on one but the gf likes riding on back of a harley. Pretty sure it was designed by the same team that F'ed up the 7 series in the early 2000s. It's hideous. But it weighs nothing and with that 1 cyl torquey rotax engine, is a blast to ride in the city. When I get on it after riding my GS, it feels like I'm riding a really fast a Puch moped. The best part is that you can't see it when you are riding it.

Everyone should own two bikes I had two bikes for a while. 2000 883cc I bought as a flip when I sold that I bought my 1200XLc. After a few months I sold my 636cc kawi. After owning two bikes for over a year I just never rode them enough. Can't have two girlfriends. Plus I've always had a "summer car" to split time with.

Plus I've always had a "summer car" to split time with. There's your problem! I have a truck that gets completely ignored whenever the temperature is above 32 degrees. And she's fine with it. Go sit in the corner, truck! I'll let you know when you're needed. hahaha

My 07 victory vegas (Eleanor) when I rode out to Pierre, SD from Pittsburgh during the great Fall Furlough of 2013. It is now in storage somewhere with the Harley (Sabrina). I got to thinking about it when I just saw that new Indian Scout. If I remember correctly, Polaris bought and revived Indian...which would explain the similar tank design. I also see they dramatically dropped the price from the other recent Indian reincarnation where nothing was offered for less than $30K I miss the bikes, and keep putting off getting an Okinawa bike because the motorcycles here are somewhat lawless. They weave in and out of traffic and go wild. I can see myself weaving once and liking it...then just doing it faster next time. I don't need that in my life right now. Plus, it is so hot here, I don't want to be perched upon a combustion engine most of the year here with all the incessant traffic. fun fact...japan has scooter gangs called Bōsōzoku (wreckless tribe)...they ride around in packs and just constantly rev their whiny engines. It is so weird.
