I called earlier today as well and I think Lauren? was kind enough to get me some measurements on the classic fits in a M/L for shoulders and length. So far I like that the customer service is easy to get a hold of and that she was very helpful.
M- 21/33 L- 22/33
She said it would shrink about 3-5% so I'm debating if should get a large as I don't mind a baggier fit in my flannels. Just waiting for a black watch to be restocked to try it out.

Emailed Vermont Flannel 22nd of last month and still no response. It's been cold waiting for a response. Good to hear that they respond to calling. She said they are trying to catch up after holiday season so maybe your email is getting sorted out. Sounds like she may be the only person answering emails, but calling may be alot easier. She had a welcoming voice lol.

"She had a welcoming voice lol. "
Umm yes this.
I may have to call and nail down a fit. It would be great to order 2 of the same size vs. one of each for fit purposes.

One thing I noticed living in Korea for a few years was that Asian sizes are silly small, and American sizes are silly large.

So their sizing chart is irrelevant? Well I got a weird frame so measurements of the shoulders and length really important to me. I got a short torso so the length is big for me. Don't want to be wearing a night gown with slim jeans. And I have downward broad large shoulders but still want a decent fitting shirt. I might bite on the medium when they restock. If it is too small my dad gets two flannels on me lol. I was talking to my dad and showing him iron heart shirts as well. He likes it because reminds him of his youth and I guess he wondering about work wear resurgence. He is a former railroad/union worker.

Sizing down could work but you'd need to know the other measurements to be sure

I wouldn't say IH is silly small. Small yes, but for an Asian brand they are actually close to being in the ball park of normal. But man, a 33" inch length is pretty damn long

That is about just the right size for me in an XLT so for an M or L that is huge.

i might as well be the guinea pig so when the blackwatch comes back into stock, I'll order a medium and will report the measurements on here.

It's not a vermont flannel, but if you are looking for a good fitting shirt, look at ratio. They have a few flannel options. 2-3x more expensive tho.

Took the plunge, just ordered a solid "granite" in size large. It's replacing a gray Eddie Bauer flannel I had torn in a fight years ago. I'm typically an XLT in most brands but seeing those shoulder and length measurements had me thinking I can easily get away with this. Will report back when it arrives.

Shirt's in! Pics another day, but quick report as far as some measurements go (size large): pit-to-pit ~25.5", tail length from bottom of collar ~33.5", sleeve length from center of neck ~38". Reports of these running big we're not overstated; one size down seems to be just right for my liking. Overall I'm very happy with construction and softness, now off to remove that awfully placed label and give it a wash to see how much it shrinks.

So if you have a 40" chest and take a medium in most shirts then go with a small for Vermont Flannel?

So if you have a 40" chest and take a medium in most shirts then go with a small for Vermont Flannel? I should have mentioned I got the "classic" fit, but yeah that's what I'd recommend. I'm typically an XL tall and I think this is the only size large I currently own. Looking at their size chart, the large is listed as chest size 42-44 but the actual measurement is about 51". I'm a 47-48 chest depending on weight fluctuation and was also hesitant to size down, but hey it works.

Vermont Flannel's demographic is the nephilim and their children.

Any update of sizing after washing it, the color ways I want are back in stock and set on a medium but want to know how much it shrank before I order. Wore it yesterday after washing and flat drying. Shrinkage (the water was cold) was minimal if at all and I'm still very happy with the size of my shirt. That may not be the case if it takes a tumble in the dryer so YMMV. I'm strictly going off of observation here; didn't take any physical measurements but will do so when I wash/dry again later this week. Also, it's worth mentioning that the fabric is thicker and softer than the LL Bean flannel my wife got a few weeks ago. Update 1-26: Machine washed in cold, tumble dried on medium for 30 minutes, hung to finish completely drying, and took some measurements...not a smidge of shrinkage. Still 25.5" P2P, 38" arms, and if anything the tail length is a little longer than new at almost 34". Double update: Dirty mirror fit pic
