Saw their shirts get a mention on another thread and so thought I'd kick a dedicated one off over here. While I totally get people's aversion to the rather more silly aspects of the brand's ethos and hype, there's no doubt in my mind that the majority of their items are very good quality and they pay serious attention to fit and detail. Also helps that their core colourways mirror the kind of things I tend to go for as a matter of course. Just picked up this from AW/14 and have to say it fits me like a glove and is one of the softest jacket items I own. Seriously nice piece that looks and feels almost custom made. It's actually a shade darker IRL and has a really deep burnt orange tone that works equally well with darker greys, black and indigo jeans. In fact, I liked it so much I got somebody else to buy me the Royal Blue version (in the UK they're doing their one style/one purchase number on these), should arrive Monday.

julian what is the country of origin of your jacket? The inside label states it was made in the good old People's Republic of China. When it's Canada, they seem to like to put a label in the inside collar next to the Supreme label. When it's China it seems to be that little bit harder to find... Doesn't bother me either way as the quality and construction on the Corduroy Harrington is faultless.

Thanks! No reply from them on my questions. Not a surprise, given their buy or F.O. Attitude.

Thanks! No reply from them on my questions. Not a surprise, given their buy or F.O. Attitude. It puts me off when you go to a website, and they have no fit chart, no info on materials, or weight of fabric, and where it was made. I figure if I have to pry it out of them, I just go somewhere else.

I agree it's a strange way to do business but it works for them. If it didn't they'd change. Not many brands (if any) have such a rabid following.

I don't think most buyers give it a second thought where the items are made, what the fabric weights are etc.
They do have an 'interesting' approach to customer service, which seems to essentially revolve around the notion that the customer is always far too much trouble to bother interacting with, other than to maybe sneer at occasionally.
Still, in some ways I kind of like it as it makes a refreshing change to the ubiquitous 'we're you're best friend and everything's wonderful' stench that most companies like to try and give off. At least dislike and indifference are rarely faked.

Do they ever have sales? 700 pieces per store, apparently. Not sure how many were additionally made available solely through the various online channels. The UK site sold out within 10 seconds, I know because I had one in my cart at 2s past 11am and all I had to do was paste in my debit card number and by the time I'd done that the site told me to remove the item as it had sold out. No, I've never owned any of their hoodies. Much like you, I'm mainly about their jackets - although I did pick up today's new release New Era Beanie in Burgundy... that sold out in about 30mins as well. They do have sales. I picked up a jacket in the recent Black Friday sale (20% off, so not bad). There should be an 'End of Year Sale' soon as well.

I've seen they're made in the same shop as reigning champ. Do they ever have sales? For as long as I can remember, their fleeces/hoodies have been made in Canada. Heavyweight stuff. Been into Supreme since about 99/00, but they only adopted a webstore in more recent years, so back then you were forced to do eBay or have a selfless friend local to the store. Their non-streetwear garments are great, though, back backs too. I've got their F/W 2011 Club Jacket in navy (http://www.supremenewyork.com/previews/fallwinter2011/jackets/club-jacket) and it's the best jacket I've ever had. If given the opportunity to buy another one in black or especially tan, I'll jump on it. The closest I've ever come to replacing it was the Left Field flight jacket (http://leftfieldnyc.com/products/olive-green-twill-flight-jacket), which I'm still enamored with but indecisive on which color would be better for me. They're also never in stock in my size, so that makes my decision for me.

Total mayhem on the UK/Euro site this morning for the first online drop of SS15. Decided on three items from this season. Two aren't yet released but I managed to grab the other one in (IMO) the best colourway: All the colourways sold out completely within about two minutes.

Sounds like the title of an album by an early English punk band! I get a kick out of it but wouldn't wear it. I'm totally happy with my heavy flannel. I'll let their site cool down and check out the line up.

There's a Foulard short-sleeve shirt that looks like it's headed for the SS/15 sale, that's the only shirt I've really wanted so far this season. Picked up the International Coach jacket last Thursday which was my second out of three must-have pieces, so happy about that. Also picked up a Daniel Johnston t-shirt, mainly to go along with the one I bought from their previous collab. Just one more jacket left to complete the three things I wanted from this season and I'm done til AW.
