I've got an Aero Stockman that is about 5 years old. It fits a little big on me now, but it still fits very well over a warm wool sweater. So it works well as a winter coat, but maybe not the most stylish this I own. I'm rather smitten with the new Aero August. I'm not sure if I'm the market for another, though. I think I have that same hat. Doesn't everyone in New England? haha hannahats.com/product-category/caps/

Those are both really nice jackets. I've been thinking of getting an Aero 1920 work coat much like yours. Can you tell me how long your coat is, and what colour melton lining did you opt for with the cordovan shell? Also, how do you find the vertical seam down the back? Does it gape at all when the jacket is fastened up?
Thanks very much.

tomek, I no longer have the Work Coat as I preferred the similar Stockman, of which I have two. From memory, the Work Coat was about 28 or 29", no more. I had black melton lining, and the seam did gape at the back, which I didn't like. I should probably have gone for a size up, which would probably have stopped the gaping somewhat, but then it would have been even more like my cordovan Stockman. The Work Coat is meant to be a very neat and trim fit, so take that into account when choosing your size.

Thanks very much for the feedback, very useful. I've got a few aero jackets of the highwayman and longshoreman style but this one caught my attention as something a bit different. I'll give it some further thought...

Congrats! However, I am not going to feel badly for you as I have just finished off a run of 100ºf+ months here and can finally wear a jacket! Getting the sizing down on a jacket is really hard. Most guys as you know have spent a lonnnnnnng time and have a few flips under their belts to get there.

New addition arrived today. Aero Hercules with an added 3 peice back. I love it. Brown horse, olive stitch, brass hardware, brown alpaca lining. I got one about 7-8 weeks ago, some of the measurements were out, so had to send it back. It arrived today, the fit is great, and I'm really happy with it. On the downside, it's 28c today and summer has just started! Looks great. Throw up fit pics when it cools off.

I've been looking at these for a couple years with an eye towards a longer style that does not make me look like a rockabilly guy or motorcycle rider or numbers collector. I think I like this style in natural horsehide. I sent them my measurements from my tailor and am awaiting their response. Any thoughts here on options? button color? Will that leather fade out nicely over time and darken? www.aeroleatherclothing.com/product-detail.php?id=2391Vicenza Full Grain Veg Tanned Horsehide Navy Blue Liner
