..........soak them dude..... Ok So I gave them a handwash with detergent and 40 degrees. I swirled them around and squeezed and stuff to make sure I get the starch out (since if the shine is starch..then there is ALOT of it).....the water turned green wich is a very good thing. Rinsed until no color came. So I will have to wait until tomorrow to see what happens here but Im glad I did it for 2 reasons, there is no point in trying to get more of a shine if its gonna be all gone after first wash, better start working fades....and 2...I kinda want to see how much they shrink since I hem all my Gs after this one since they are amazeballsingly perfect in the length.....so lol if they come out too short.

Thanks, guys. I wore them to the F1 race in Austin yesterday and they didn't even feel stiff. Definitely needing less break in than my last pair of 13 oz cones. The lack of singing doesn't seem noticeable at all, but their not very starchy.

The Wolwerine Montgomery 1000 mile. They look better irl.More patina and life then you see here.
Going strong into their 4th winter in the north this winter.
They are so comfortable and I just put on vintage pecards and wipe and shine 2 times a year. They have loosen in the sole on numerous occasions, but i cant blame then since the weather here is basically wet all year with exception of july/august. I have just glued it together with 2-component glue, but there is no problem changing the sole on these.

edol; damn, that actually looks pretty damn good imo. I still haven't completely given up on trying out a Gustin Chore Coat...and now after seeing your pics I'm leaning more towards actually picking one up.....hmmm. How do you feel about the color? Do you like it/love it/so so??? Also, what's your height, weight, and G shirt sized and what size did you go on the Chore? The fit looks great man, it looks good on you.

Also edol, the collar doesn't look too big on yours either.

Just got my waxed chore coat, very happy with fit and overall look/fabric and "construcion" Wearing mine today under a wool pea coat - learned on Monday that the waxed chore is pretty damn worthless as an overcoat in 18 degrees F (it was 45 when I got to work, 18 when I left. :/ ). Love the color on the charcoal, still debating on the Waxed Oak in the Gustin store right now.

ickes - i've got the charcoal one as well. i was hesitant but gave it a backing. glad i did. it's a great jacket to throw on, helps cut down on the wind, and in just the couple weeks i've had it, as started aging very nicely. the collar might've been what gave me the greatest hesitation but the material allows you to fold it as needed and it gets a nice point down, keeping it from flaring out disco style.

Well guys thank you very much I felt pretty good, i was a little afraid about the fit but even with a shirt and a thin sweatshirt i'm comfortable, fitted but as i said, comfortable. The color is awesome, i just love it!! I really liked the color shown on the photos uploaded by Gustin and the coat color is true to those. I ordered the same size as my gustin shirt's, M. I also like the feel of this waxed canvas, really nice. The collars were also a surprise, they are actually, for now, pretty solid, they don't "lay down" on the shoulders I have a Pointer Chore Coat, but i took it to a tailor to remove the collars because they were very wide and "relaxed". My height is 5ft10'' (178 cm) and weight ~178 pounds (76 to 78 kg). Hope it helps!!! I will try to upload, tomorrow, a photo with a gustin shirt so you guys can see how they fit and take your conclusions if it helps. I also curious to try a more heavyweight sweatshirt under this to see how it goes

Contest. 10 people admit they have the Shine, and I post pics. I think this is the list: bugulaexophobe dt27 adunkin a brief review of G-Comm indicates that may be it for those that have fessed up. Six more and the camera gets it.
