Thank you everyone..Truly!!!!
We have had a couple[few] people ask what the little thread hang off is at the bottom of our denim.
that is our little signature to show people that we really use a REAL VINTAGE UNION SPECIAL CHAIN STITCH MACHINE to hem your jeans... and it is okay to cut it off if you like...promise it will not unravel the hem...
just so you know..if you ever get your denim hemmed by someone else beside us [ which is free by us ] the red thread inside the chainstitch is called the "release thread" . that thread tells the tailor, that thread is the thread to pull to unravel the chain stitch i/o of cutting all the thread...
This board has help us tremendously...we have been getting orders from all over the world... I truly thank all of you for your help...
I will always be open to how to improve our jeans and your knowledge and feed back will help grow our brand...
Our biggest challenge today is making a size 56 selvage for a customer who never owned a pair....he was very excite that we took on the order...He is a lawyer in Florida ..so i have to make sure we make the best pair we can...
Cheers

I ordered a pair the other day but I'm afraid they will fit to lose. I compared them to a pair I own, raleigh denim Martin raw, the raleigh fit a little tight. The pair I ordered measurements are bigger so hopefully it fits well and not too loose.
I'll post pictures once I get them. They said they were waiting on the denim when I spoke to them

Thanks for sharing the new product here, and soliciting feedback. Nice to see it offered in a duck canvas as well.

I'm intrigued by the duck canvas option, but I think I need to see a finished jacket before I commit. Details look really nice so far, though!

we based this off a TYPE II JACKET..and use the LVC 1873 selvage edge concept on the waistband and cuff...plus this has a LIfetime Guarantee Repair...
we use 5 1/2 yards of selvage for this jacket...that is alot of fabric..but I think it turn out OK...

cianofarmer: That looks great! Thanks for sharing your process. I like the Lincoln penny detail. Great job on your site, by the way, it gives a lot of options (and information) without much fuss. It seems you've come a long way from even the kickstarter. Can you go a little bit further into why you recommend the taped seam over the flat-felled by any chance?

Jacket looks sharp, but can you make me a pair of canvas pants in the 12 oz duck?

Yes... The flat fell seam is a less stable seam...and tends to rip... The flat fell seam stitch has a One stitch process ( sewn over once) over the seam..When we tape our seams..we have 5 stitch process ( sewn over 5 times) over the seam...so our tape seam has 5 times the the reenforcement of thread compared to a flat fell seam..that is why we can guarantee our denim for a lifetime...

As for the duck canvas jeans...Yes we can... No problem....But I can not guarantee the duck canvas for a lifetime unless we tape all the seam... Is that okay?...
do you want us to make a sample so you can see what it looks like?
