any of you see the new Levis x Pendleton collab trucker? unfortunately, there's no mention at all of the type/weight of denim used and whether or not it's US made. At $398 retail you'd think they'd list all of this info, but my guess is that the lack of info suggests it is indeed made in China.

I hadn't, but this is what I'm working on with Ciano. I'm asking him to line his modified type 3 in the 14oz Indigo/Indigo with this Pendleton fabric and to use this corduroy on the collar, pocket bags, and inside cuff. It should cost a lot less than $400. I'm guessing about $220.

interesting. let us know how this pans out. the upside to working with CF is that you can get those customized details and get your own one of a kind jacket.

I will never understand those motherf!@kers pressing a crease into their jeans, but that's a sweet looking fabric.

Agreed. Thankfully there wasn't a mark to be seen after a wash. Also noticed that the stitching is all cotton. Bet these things are pretty old. Will be taking some more pictures and asking Denim Bro about the age. Sadly, these don't fit though.

Has anyone noticed that the 511 slims (selvedge ones) stretch out after a few wears. I had mine for about a month now. It still looks great, but I would like to shrink them a tad bit to have them fit the way they were when I first got them. (Good thing I brought 2 of the same pairs).

Isn't this true of all denim? I've been buying sanforized about a half inch under my true waist and unsanforized a full inch under (post soak) to account for this. Admittingly, not Levis. Probably haven't owned Levis in 25-30 years.

I had a pair of green Levis that looked similar to these, and I want to say it was around 1975-1980ish.

They will shrink after multiple machine washes. My N&F LHT's are a size 33, so about a 35" waist when I bought them new. Mine have shrunk 1" in the waist and now fit me perfectly. As Bentin pointed out, all denim will stretch out after repeated wear. When jeans are washed in a machine the agitation does cause shrinkage. I don't understand the science behind it but that's been my experience

Top of the line washer I see, I only had 1 soak (like warm water / hang dry).

www.ginewusa.com/apparel/heritage-coatyou can get something similar from Ginew. Granted, their prices aren't that much better and I never understood how they've determined their price points which are just as expensive, if not more, than Japanese brands.

Thanks for trying to help but for me, I think it all just comes back to what we were discussing up-thread which is a CF Custom.

Just got this in today. Japanese reproduction of the 1936 Type I jacket. I was told this jacket is pre-LVC, meaning LVC wasn't established by that time, making it a very early repro. Japanese denim is also used, not Cone Mills Denim. Production date: 09/1991 Construction, sewing, and denim are really awesome. Denim feels "dry" and irregular and is a lighter shade of blue. Leather patch. Buttons and hardware feels more substantial than my LVC 1947 jeans. Has a copper cinch-back buckle. Overall really nice jacket and in mint condition too for its age. It fits me great in terms of shoulder and chest width. A little short in body and sleeve length, so I'll have to pair it with jeans of a proper rise.
