Double black arrived today. They are lightweight but crispy. BS was, worth the wait. Quality is great and always surprising given the price point. These may have quenched my desire of a pair of Black Marias

Double blac arrived today. They are lightweight but crispy. BS was, worth the wait Brave Star was just getting going when I went down this selvedge denim path in June 2013. It was either them or Gustin and I could not find enough info on Brave Star to make me feel comfortable with them. Their website and credibility has evolved quite well over the years and this might just push me over the edge...one of these days. The brown weft has always got me curious...I just checked that they compare their straight fit to a Levi's 504. according to Levi's that is a"modern straight fit with a lower rise and a bit more room in the seat and thigh." Not sure if that is good, but low rise and I don't get get along very well. Eh, if I don't like them, I can put them in the pile of denims I don't wear. I just checked Gustin to compare fit guides and that 16oz cone mills natural indigo is looking good at $79. Good thing I don't need them...and I know I don't need them.

If it helps in my size I found the straight gustin rise to be shorter than the straight bravestar. But yes the thighs are abit larger. This is somewhat alleviated because the hips are not wide. Unless the gustin fit is better by a wide margin I would go with BS EVERYTIME. Even with a slight taper and I add that my new pair of black slim straights are a tad narrower in the thighs so I put BS OVER gustin easily. Particularly if you like buttons to stay on

Bravestar just put up 3 Regular Tapers up. I'm grabbing some of the Brown x Indigo Cone Mills as I had that in a Slim Taper and had to return. Really nice looking fabric.
This Regular Taper is just a fantastic fit. I had a few other of Bravestar cuts and they all seemed way to tight but these are slim but you can move in them.

I currently own G Black x Coal and G Itally Black x Black and am trying to justify the purchase..........

New Chino Colors: Military Green, Black, & Midnight Navy. I already have the Coal which do not really look different from the Black Swatch or the Navy swatch. Copped a Military Green. My favorite chinos, if your on the bubble, grab a pair.

I really like the chino cloth that they use, but wish they would offer another cut with a little less taper, and bigger thigh.

I also have the original Cramerton and the newer neutral chino color. The Cramerton is more yellow whereas the current color is more greenish.

The "newer neutral chino" is the combat khaki? The online color does look similar to the Cramerton, but regardless it looks good. I sent Mik a note regarding the combat khaki in a denim cut.

Yes, that is what I meant. The Combat Khaki is slighly greenish and the Cramerton is more yellowish. IT's not a huge difference but does impact color matching shirts a little bit. For example, black looks better with the Combat than the Cramerton IMO.
