I "called" it a year ago... I'm fairly sure shops like Rodeo Bros are in violation of some agreement, by selling to people outside of the Japanese market. Giles is THE SINGLE POINT for sales outside of Japan/Asia... Every other shop is a sub of IHUK, meaning they all order through him. That's how it was always supposed to have been, and most here know that. Luckily, I still have co-workers and friends in Japan to proxy me. Even Mister Freedom has roped in many of the rogue retailers on Rakuten. The only problem with this logic is that these retailers are selling at full retail for the region they're in, so they're undercutting nothing. Is IHJP going to stop selling to companies that deliver to US customers as a proxy? The risk is absorbed entirely by the consumer, but the pricing model opens up a reseller market for those that do order from Japan direct, as they can then resell at a decent markup while still selling for less than the western sales partners. The benefit I would see is if ensuring higher stock levels allows them to lower prices, but half of the markup being paid at IHUK or Selfedge appears to be U.K. VAT, which is problematic as a global consumer. As I've said before, I fully support them doing what they think is best for their business, but I do wonder how many of the loyalists that buy on rakuten and pretend they buy on IHUK will stick around when they're paying nearly twice what they used to. Surely there will be some. This strategy absolutely prices people like me out of buying their product, though. I don't think they will totally stop all other shops from selling on Rakuten; most likely just offenders... But that's just my speculation. Either way, it's not for me to judge, or even really care. At this point, I'm in a remission, with very little buying, and lots of selling. Really trying to streamline what I have, put more wear on those things that are keepers, and diversify my style when I do buy new items. But, more speculation: I don't think it will "hurt" their sales. Either way, right is right, and wrong is wrong.

Exactly how I feel. The only thing seriously on my radar is a pair of jeans, and they're 555's anyway.

Thread resurrection...
It's been a little more than a year, fall is beginning to set in, and I'm regretting the fact I passed on the IHSH-126-PB. Stock left in small guys sizes, but no XXL+. Regret sucks !

Regret sucks ! Love that fabric. I have the western but have contemplated getting the 126 work shirt version just cause I don't own a single UHF in the work shirt cut. Did you check SelfEdge??
