I've got to say that Romans personal style, tastes, likes, and vision is much more in line with mine (and possibly others here) than GUSTINs. [...] he definitely has more of a street/urban/blue collar style that appeals to me where Gs is a little more business or preppy.,.. Heh. Gustin appeals to me more than Lawless, for exactly the same reasons. Vive la difference! funny... I'm pretty much split down the middle appreciating certain style elements of each.

Nothing is wrong with that. Unless they're laced with an advective nicotine solution or something. The first hit is free, ya junkies!

Whoa see what happens when I step away. Ok that was great to see. So email Lawless if you want to take Roman up on his offer. The Lawless website is down being updated. Too bad we didn't have all the denim types saved in here for those picking out what you want.

Too many Matt's here. There is now a moratorium on "Matt". Carry on. And don't forget Mr. Heisenberg! True story: Multiple studies have shown that, throughout the 1970s, some 18% of households including couples who were expecting the birth of a child or were planning to conceive soon had made the following statement to one another when discussing potential baby names. "Honey, you know what's a good, solid name that you just don't hear much anymore? Matthew."

They did have an 18oz if I remember right that I am sure I would like breaking in. Unless they have something heavier.

the 18.5 is the same denim (99% sure) as the Super Heavy by Gustin so it should be pretty easily to break in.

cool well shoot me and email roman@lawlessdenim.com the 1st pair of jeans is on me. her is the deal. if for any reason it's not right let me know. We will always work to make it a perfect fit. We started as a custom house we have gotten really good at it. So tell me what you would like and I'll have it made for you. Wow! That is an amazing offer. It's also an extremely smart way to get some product feedback from a group of enthusiastic, knowledgeable consumers. More importantly, helps build a customer base with a group who will certainly spread the word. I hope I'm not too late, so I'm sending you an email right now. Thanks!

Too bad we didn't have all the denim types saved in here for those picking out what you want. Ha, yeah no kidding! But I felt a little bad about being super choosy over some free jeans! So I told him I would be happy with a 15-18oz indigo Japanese. I just hope I got my email to him in time. That's what I get for going to be early last night!

Pretty sure that if you got in an email to Roman, you'll be OK. Pretty spectacular way to show "us" his work. Well, speaks volumes of his confidence, so let's see what happens guys. For me, having him here is the best part. Hoping we can get others too, but we'll see how things play out and if we all have time to keep this joint running...

aaaaand already got a reply.
People like Roman amaze me. They just get shit done. I guess that's the true entrepreneurial spirit but he's juggling all of the KS folks, the direct orders, the in-person orders, the website debacle, as well as email business and us knuckleheads.
Just all around kudos to him.

I got an order generated last night - about 5 mins after this thread started. Dunno fellas, this may turn out to be the craziest thing ever if LD pans out. f!@k, I might quit my job and go there to get trained by Roman and start sewing. No, I'm totally not talking shit either...

I know this is for LD but speaking about learning to sew and start in on something, have you heard of Red Cotton Denim ( www.redcottondenim.com)? Camillo's story's pretty cool.

Funny you should mention that, he's mentioned the idea of emulating the Italian mills that allow you to come in for a couple of days and "make your own denim" - you pick the fabric, and build them/sew them up yourself. It could be fun to try. Not full time, but it could be fun.

Roman told me if I committed two months to him being trained, I could make anything. You don't know how tempting it is. I'm so ready to do something new...

I'm moving into a bigger place in the next month or so, free place to crash brah! Actually, you could head up his LA operations as he's planning to expand out there.

No, I'm totally not talking shit either... it is pretty inspiring. i took a buyout from my company last year and after doing some traveling am just now trying to figure out if i want to go back into the same line of work or take an opportunity to apply my skills to something completely different. there is the obvious risk of failure, but such an opportunity to learn something new and have some fun along the way. i was also able to get in on the overly generous offer last night. with the 2 ks pairs coming my way and my current (and incoming) collection of G denim i should just walk away and stop visiting these forums...too much ongoing temptation.

It's obvious we are all very passionate about this, so to somehow turn this love and passion in to a source of income or a career would be awesome.
