well i'm pissed. i've been buying the wrong fit in RgT all along. the Expedition SKs looked like they'd work for me and they seemed to be an abnormal SK cut - gave 'em a shot and they were a great fit. i measured 'em out and started looking into the SK a bit more and began thinking it could work for me. i talked to Jay a bit at BOW and it sounded like it could be a good fit for me in the other releases so i decided to give the slubs a shot. they just came in and fit like a glove. glorious glorious fit. all the elements i love about RgT denim in an even better fit for me. why am i pissed? because now i have to convert all of my Stantons over to SKs. so moral of the story...just because they're called skinny, don't discount 'em and try it out if you like a tapered leg. bentin said it right when he called the stanton a straight leg. for some reason i always thought it was a slim taper. that truly sucks. i've been going through the same thing, kinda. since i've lost weight i've been trying to find a leaner cut of jeans, so a narrower thigh, knee and hem. the upside for me is that the majority of my jeans were purchased cheap. the downside is i've accumulated about a dozen pair, so now I need to start thinning the herd.

always gotta check the sizes. i've stopped looking at their post because everything's either a 28 or a 38.

nah, they are all available. i've just written their post off because it's always barney's warehouse or t+y and the sizes are never available. but yeah, in this case it's from RgT direct and most of the releases have full sizing.

Yeah, the rawr denim sales compendium seems like the same links from week to week. I got tired of seeing the same 'sales' that have been there all summer and have written them off

just got back home from a few days away with a pair of flat heads and the RgT expeditions...these expeditions are gnarly. don't sleep on 'em. remind me a lot of the oni stuff but lighter weight and a deeper indigo. full of irregularities and character, i'm loving what they're evolving into after their soak:

Beautiful. It's against my philosophy to have more than one pair of indigo denim (don't taze my bro!!) but these were too cool to pass up so I grabbed a pair a few weeks ago and it is killing me not to wear them. I've been trying to wear out these G Zimbabwes but the damn things are tough and too cool cool to sell. I may have to make an exception for these unless I want to start wearing them in 2017.

devastitis - are you still looking for measurements on the 33s? i can get to 'em tomorrow but the listed ones at BOW should point you in the right direction too.

Hey Bugs, I'm learning that I get a lot of stretch in my RgT too. I was going to go 33 SK, but may suze down to 32 just to account for that. Are you sizing down too?
I could button 33 Stantons, but foolishly thought the 11oz wouldn't stretch as much as heavier, lower tension denim, so I went 34's. I really should have rolled 33's. Simce SK waist size is effectively one size smaller than Stantons, I just figure I'll try a 32, but I should probably go try a few pairs on first.

bentin - the thighs for me are the issue with the SK fit so i'm going over to them in 33s. can get them on and buttoned right away but gotta do some house chores to loosen 'em before wear. in all honesty though, i had the darks on yesterday and those things stretched a considerable amount so if you're looking at those, it probably makes sense to size down. i had the slubs on for a couple hours last week and noticed there was good stretch to those so maybe a 32 in them would make sense as well. wearing the stealths today and the sausage casing has loosened some but nothing like the darks. regardless...i've been wearing a lot of japanese made denim over the summer and forgot how much i appreciated the RgT stuff.

bentin - another thought - if you're switching over to SK cold turkey, definitely grab the Expeditions. they'll give you whatever fit you want based on how you soak and they too have some stretch in 'em. man, they're easily the best thing RgT has released.

There are at least two people here who will say that, unequivocally, yes it is worth it. They will also warn of the unforgiving cut, if I'm not mistaken. Vincent is all about his.

I have no experience with the Gustin work shirts, so I can't really compare. But I have quite a bunch of stuff from Gustin and the lack of QC just made me stop ordering from them. I would go with the RgT ISC personally.

I'm starting to rethink this whole crowd source thing. the value of a Gustin WS may be there But the wait and lack of return ability is turning me off. The RT should be restocked soon.

I love my RT ISC. It's an amazing shirt. Don't have the Gustin to compare it to.

I didn't know this but I was checking instagram and one of RT's vendors posted a pic of the Ridgeline supply jacket which I just bought and apparently it's been slightly tweaked/redesigned. I think the sleeves were widened and there's more length in the body. The length in the body was noticeable to me and it's actually what I prefer. Every picture i've seen of the Ridgeline was of the old version which was designed as more of a trucker style that sits at the waist. My version is a tad longer.
