I also can't help but superimpose this story line over it.

Am I the only one who immediately assumed the suspect? Trying to think like a criminal here, in that denim wouldn't be the normal choice of product for thievery . It could be more of an act of vengeance against someone trying to squeeze out a living in an honest way, but who knows?

Well, can't wait for the next Kickstarter featuring the new Phoenix brand Indigo... I mean Indiojeans! Sorry if that joke is too soon.

Am I the only one who immediately assumed the suspect? Honestly my mind didn't even go there till you mentioned it matt. There's a shit ton of crime in this city (as maybe you've noticed) just like most other big cities, so I just assumed it could be almost anyone who had some type of knowledge of Mannys home business. That's the problem when you let customers come in to your home and see your operation. Terrible situation and I feel bad for Manny.

Nothing is beyond the realms of possibility for drug addicts who need money, seriously. Not saying that's the case in this one but anything and everything that can be sold for cash is fair game. It's amazing actually.

I agree ickes, it could very well be any sort of crime in the valley. I have the local news app on my iPad and it's crazy/ridiculous how many crimes/shootings/burglaries happen here. I think the tendency to react is because they only stole jeans (as it was reported).

IIRC correctly I've seen Manny post pics of customers inside his home picking up and wearing their new gear. I'm in no way saying it's a customer but once you start doing that word gets around the neighborhood of Mannys operation. Eventually that word can potentially reach the wrong people with bad intentions.

He does have an operation in Tempe (across from the Tempe Marketplace), which is his shop and I assumed he moved all his operations there (from his home). And with all the rumored dotted lines to his past employer (and the debt said person needs to repay), it's easy to think there's a tie.

I think its just a bit of fun speculation here, as it really could be just about anyone. Problem is, when someone gets the reputation for being a douchbag, it can draw unwanted attention to oneself.

Terrible, just terrible. If he has a warehouse space, why would he have 200 pairs at his house? That's going to be an insurance nightmare.

I know a few of y'all ( drewcandraw, others) probably have seen this - but Manny just posted on IG that someone broke into his home and stole over 200 jeans. Might as well get the word out if they turn up for sale here and in other places. That sucks for indigogene and while I'm sure we can all assume suspects, it's not cool to see someone do something like that to a small business owner. Sorry to hear about this indigogeneI would think the thiefs would gave a hard time selling them without tipping off someone. I will keep an eye on Ebay.

I could be wrong but Manny may call his warehouse space home. I work in a chemistry lab and I refer that as home as I'm there more than I am at my actual home. or he was packaging and printing shipping labels? Save money from installing internet at the warehouse and just print at home none the less, it sad and I hope he can recover from it

Hey everyone! I'm a long-time lurker of the forums and a friend of Manny's. Wanted to pop in and introduce myself as I've been trying to help him out here and there. Shortly here I'm going to work with him on getting a measurements chart up on the site. If there are any suggestions you all have for things you'd like to see I'm sure he would love to hear them. In case anyone's wondering, he's not letting the recent setback slow Indigogene down. Here's a Kuroki vest he made for my dog. I got a matching one but that's not important.

justindisgustin Nice to see this post! I own several indigogene pants, vests and a shirt. How are you guys thinking the new size charts will be different from the charts already on the website? Not necessarily a size chart note but related to fit: it would be great to have additional information on the fabrics that are being used. Especially expected shrink related to cold / hot soaking and washing. Thanks!

So as for the size chart and how it will differ, I'll have to wait and see what Manny sends my way. He said he wants me to work on an update in some way so I'll update here when I have the details. My personal feeling is it would be nice to have a blog section on the site for information about which fabrics are currently on hand and if new samples are made, etc. Maybe if he gets a new crop of a ready-to-wear garment finished. Stuff like that.
I put bug in his ear about simple, well-constructed pocket tees. I think a 3-pack of different colors would be great, but that's mostly because i want to buy it 🙂

Cheers to the tee but double cheers to a v-neck tee that isn't too long! Thanks for the reply.

We just added the 18.5 Kuroki Slim Taper fit to the site. Previously, only the slim straight was available. In other news, Manny is working on some military pants in chambray that look like they should be a comfy change of pace. Also, the old size charts are still valid but we'll be adding some new ones for different items. Hope everyone is having a fun weekend!

Justin, it would be nice if you guys made all the size charts uniform aka the layout is what I mean so all of them look same for each product (sorry I'm OCD) anyways, been alternating between my kuroki and my green streaky ones. I like the kuroki alot as it got soft and pliable real fast. Not sure how it will fade but I'm wearing it now since its "Bay Area Winter" lol. indigogene Manny I think the rear pockets needs to be a little longer. It's the one thing that kinda keeps it from being perfect as my medium sized wallet sticks out a little. If I carry front pocket, then it's not a problem.

So I just added some ochre-brown canvas jeans to the site. A buddy has a pair that have been frequent in his rotation for a while now (I think they were a custom job) and they're real nice. Also added a blog section to the site and a page for hemming/taper/custom orders (just an email form ATM) drewcandraw I agree, the charts could do for some beautification. I'll remake the other ones so everything matches when I add a new one. I haven't noticed the back pocket size but I'll have to compare it to my other jeans.
