I received the brown flannel workshirt scooter, did you get yours yet? It's a damn good shirt, definitley keeping it even though I have IHSH-215. The colors are different enough and the weight difference justifies it a bit too. I went with a Large (I'm XL in IH) and the fit is very good.

I ordered from BOW, Thursday night. It shipped Friday, and was dropped off by USPS, Sunday, of all days. You are right. It a damn good shirt. The difference between it and the 215 are rather substantial, really. It'll likely be relegated to spring/fall wear. Winter calls for a UHF, around these parts. I went with my usual XXL. Shoulder and chest size on anything less are always far too scary to even consider sizing down. The overall length, and sleeve are just a tad long. But, if past experiences with the brand hold true, I will get it where it needs to be, with a warm wash and tumble. I'm certainly glad I gave into temptation on this one.

That's crazy I did the exact same thing with BOW and ordered a T and on Sunday it was in my doorstep. I was like wtf? The 3sixteen flannel I ordered from some shop in Houston...Reserve Supply Co...and it showed up Tuesday.
Yeah the length would have been too long if I went XL on that flannel so I went L and it's a great fit. I can get away with smaller chest and shoulder measurements on a lighter weight fabric especially if I just wear a wife beater underneath. I'm contemplating the slate blue flannel now...I have a feeling the pics don't do it justice and that it will look great with some super black jeans or black chinos.

2 of my crosscut flannels are size large and they basically shrunk down to mediums even though i've only ever cold washed/hang dried. Hopefully yours don't shrink too much

Hopefully yours don't shrink too much cold machines wash or hand wash? Usually 3sixteen is pretty good about providing shrinkage info on their product pages and they didn't list any on these particular flannels.

I normally dislike their rear yoke, but their Thomas Hooper collab is f'ing awesome this year. And ironically I can't find a pic of the yoke. I was looking at Jungle Pants this morning and guess who has the same fabric........

Also, I don't own any 3sixteen tees, which is why I was asking about the fit earlier. I really like their henleys and the xl's fit me well, but i'm not sure if I should take the same size in their tees.

not surprising. Unless a brand specifically states that something is exclusive to them there's a pretty good chance someone else will use the same fabric. Freenote Cloth did the same thing with one of their flannels that was the same as the IHSH-193. My guess is that textile mills in Japan will produce a certain amount of fabric yardage and still have some leftover.

Or was it just an almost identical colorway and pattern?

they look virtually identical, but there appears to be a slight variation in the red striping. Also, I don't know if FN's was brushed or unbrushed or what the weight was. The 193 was 10oz just like the 129's. I'm just saying they look the same and it's not uncommon for denim brands to use similar looking fabrics, or even the same fabrics as other brands.

Right, for sure. I don't believe the Freenote fabric was Indigo dyed either.

Hi, I'm new to this forum, and kind of new but none the less in love with denim, I've been rocking the naked and famous indigo selvage at somewhere in the 13 to 14 oz range, I've been wearing these for a couple of months now with some great fades coming in, and before that I had some adversity selvage dues ex Machina jeans, and before that I had some non salvage jeans which I had my mom make since I had fallen in love with raw denim because she brought a role of denim fabric, well aside from that my really question is about boots, desert boots, I love the look of the Clarks beeswax desert boot and love the crepe sole, but after a while they get thin and soft, and I was wondering if anyone's ever successfully traded soles of the boots and if it's possible to put a good sticky sole on it. Hopefully some one has but if not red wing is the next stop:) well thanks you for reading and giving me your time

Don't think it's possible to resolve them. Maybe just pick up a pair when they go on sale and keep a newer and a beater pair in rotation

Finally gave my SL-120x shadow selvedge denim their first soak. A little background, these were my first pair of expensive name brand selvedge denim. I think I bought them at BOW, wore them once or twice and them put them back in my closet. I wasn't sure I liked the cut and by that time I had gravited toward a slimmer silhouette. So, they essentially sat in my closet for the last 4-5 years. I decided to give them a chance again and give them a soak to get all the starch out. I did the bucket soak method and of course the water turned a dirty purple-ish color. Looking forward to beating the hell out of these.

wearing my SL-120x today and so far so good. Still really stiff after their first soak. I actually don't mind the cut as much anymore either. I'm so used to wearing slim cuts with more taper that I'd forgotten how well these fit. The hem on this pair is about 8" which isn't bad at all and the thigh/knees are good as well. These sewed up smaller than 3sixteen's fit chart which works to my advantage. I'm gonna try to put more wear into these as we get into Fall. My Leon Denim jeans are on the verge of being retired, so the shadow selvedge will make a good replacement. No soaks/washes on the Leons and they're already in need in repair -- a crotch blowout (my first), holes/abrasion in the cuffs, front right pocket unraveling and a hole in the back of the knee.

3sixteen has some solid fabrics. I've got their 12oz Indigo and 14.5oz Indigo flagship and have tried on the blackxblack 14.5oz. All of them are great. Nothing crazy in terms of slubs and neps and all that jazz but just very nice, simple, clean fabrics but still not boring like some Cones can be.
Their 12oz is by far the best lightweight I've tried. It still maintains a good heft and drape to it for such a light weight. I saw an article on a denim website a while back where they took a poll regarding what pair of jeans would you take with you if you were stranded on an island and the 14.5oz 3Sixteen was the top pick, for whatever thats worth. I'm gonna cop the 14.5oz blackxblack next. I would like to see them drop a heavier fabric again though.

I still have a new pair of st-140x 17oz brown weft denim sitting in my closet, but that's the heaviest denim i've seen them make. Don't know why they don't make heavier denim. It's possible the factory they use to sew their jeans can't do heavier denim, but who knows. Coincidentally, 3sixteen just got a restock of their short-sleeve henleys up on their site which i've been meaning to check out. I wanted to buy the long-sleeve henley in indigo but now that's sold out

While scrolling through the SE warehouse, a few days ago, I found I may have spoken too soon. They had the black floral s/s bd in my size, and at a discount, no less. There were still 5 of them available. So, I decided to hold off a bit, as I've been waiting for another item to be marked down further. I figured I could order them together and combine the shipping. But, in checking on them today, I found only 1 XXL left in stock. I had to grab it... I love this piece. With any luck, I'll be able to wear it a few times before Wisconsin weather takes it's usual turn for the worse.

Fits great and I wish they would do more of these. Highly recommend.
