So I've been eyeballing Tellason for a long time but I've never pulled the trigger on any products yet. Does anybody own any Tellason products? I'm curious to hear some reviews regarding quality, fit, CS, etc.

oh, well I wonder if their QC is better than GUSTINs? I would think it is but then again we won't know because they don't have a live forum that moves like a stock ticker telling all prospective buyers of every bad issue. The G forum has its benefits & negatives for Gustin. The fact that there are people giving their experiences with an item is similar to Gustin having to do it themselves, so in essence the forum keeps the sizing issues at bay because without it there would be a lot more issues with people getting there jeans sized wrong with all the inconsistancies I have never heard anything bad about Tellason myself & the stuff looks super clean so I would think they likely know their denim. Gustins model is great but having denim in small batches doesn't give them the ability to get to know a fabric as good as say Tellason who keep their denim offerings at a controllable amount.

oh, well I wonder if their QC is better than GUSTINs? well they as well as the retailers that carry their goods carry stock. in a store a customer can try goods on and if a customer receives something from an online purchase that isn't satisfactory you can likely exchange for the same item. differing business model has a different customer impact for such issues.

oh, well I wonder if their QC is better than GUSTINs? 'Yes', in a word. Tellason jeans are good quality, definitely at the higher end of middle-tier jeans I'd say. I've got a pair of their collab with Barneys, New York and really like them. Great Cone Mills denim with an interesting thick blue/white ID and a nice, slim(ish) straight fit - not too dissimilar to Gustin's Slim fit but slightly more relaxed. It's their John Graham Mellor cut. Their waist sizing does seem to run large. My tagged 32" pair now measure 35" in the waist, although that's after a fair amount of wear and no washes as yet. A friend of mine tried on some pairs in London and was finding he needed to size down one compared to all the other brands he tried on. Actually, one of the things that first attracted me to Gustin was the fact they use the same sew shop... but the construction of my Tellason pair is noticeably higher quality than Gustin: dual-coloured contrast thread, straight line hem stitching and, generally, everything seems more up together.

Ickes- Joined this forum just cause of this thread. I was really close to getting the 18oz zimb from Gustin, then balked. Really couldn't figure out how it was a $175 jean, given then annoyance's I've had with most their products. Long story short, i waffled on 3sixteen 17oz and the tellason 16.75 oz, and then pulled trigger on tellason 33, straight slim cut. Should beer her monday, and I'll put it toe-to-toe against the regular zim I have from gustin. To me, being able to return, and getting 5 days later, made tellason worth the extra 50$, despite losing the ounces. 3sixteen looked great, but figured that could be next.
If you want, i can send you a referral, think you get 10% off.

Tellason has 2 items I think are at the top of their class. The chore coat is by far the best looking out there & the Camp Shirt (clampdown) looks to be cut fairly well . I like the scoops & how the shirt is a tad longer in back. makes for a nice shirt.

ickes - I got these tellason's today - let me know if you want certain pics up against some gustins. Went 16.5oz sheffield - straight tappered in 33. I'm kinda between a 33/34 with gustins - 34's end up being much more relaxed, 33 the top block is bursting. First impressions - The tellason's have some nice details (most mentioned above) the length/fit is spot on for me. The leg opening on the gustins does annoy me, so does the monster 34 inseam. these tellasons are a single cuff, which should bode well when I wash them. pocket bags are deep and solid - same size too. All in all - glad i got these over the heavy zimbs. Also came with a handwritten thankyou for tony, nice touch.

I've been eyeing the 16.5 oz coverall jacket. Anybody have any sizing info or opinions on it?

Will do ickes, but can say, so far the 16.75 is great stuff. They've loosened/softened abit, and started to get rid of the initial indigo rub. I'm debating giving these a soak after a week or so, since they are pretty starchy.

Tellason were one of the first brands that got me interested in raw selvedge, though I've never pulled the trigger on anything. Their price point is admittedly and clearly more attractive than some of the other high end brands, but G's has been better/more attractive to me. I've handled some of their jeans in store but haven't tried on or anything. They look and feel solid. A good ol' pair of Cone Denim. If and when I venture away from my Gustins, Tellason may be the brand I got to, even though some of the Japanese brands have some interesting fabrics out.
Can anyone tell me though, as a straight fit in G, would I go for the Ankara (Regular Straight) fit? I am scared of getting a slim liek the John Graham Mellor(soccer thighs and hockey butt), but the Ankara just looks so huge on the model. Any advice?

I have biggish thighs, can't make the 33 straight Gustin's work on my thighs, but 34s get a bit billowy, and found tellason to be in the middle. I went with the straight-taper, to get a smaller leg, but bigger thighs. You are correct, there are more interesting fabrics out there, especially from Gustin. Hope that helps

I'm wearing a pair of canvas sheffields right now!
Same size as gustins - 32.
Some of the details you get in a pair of G's which I like - the felled inseams and tucked belt loops are missing. The hip pockets are deep! Leg opening probably a bit too tapered to be ideal for me. But a nice high waist (like Gustin straights) and good inseam length - like 34 inches.

Interested in Tellason. But the lack of size charts for the fits is frustrating and a real turn off to brands. Am i missing something on their site? Why is it so hard to find the charts? Couple fits on Blue Owl and Unionmade is all i can find. Unbelievable it isnt on their own site.
Any help?
