It's not on my buy list, but what does ombre mean? How does this material differ to the 127s?

It's not on my buy list, but what does ombre mean? How does this material differ to the 127s? To my knowledge it is just the name of the pattern of the fabric, just like buffalo check. The weight of the ombre is identical to the 127's (12oz ultra heavy flannel)

There's something funny about a "western" flannel shirt called the Ombre that maxes out at a XXXL which equates to a US 46 at largest. Guess they've never been to a place where guys work in those styles of shirts and are about a XXXXL-XXXXXXXXL on their charts

Being a 46L means I have a limited amount of brands to choose from. Drives me nuts. We do really need to compile a tall friendly brand list.

I like my red buffalo check pattern better than these, and think its more classic. The blue is a bit subdued for my liking. If I am to pay IHUKs pricing, then the color has to be a home run.

Guess they've never been to a place where guys work in those styles of shirts and are about a XXXXL-XXXXXXXXL on their charts I think the issue lies in that there isn't enough demand from the bigger guys to buy these for work wear. I know I wouldn't wear one of mine, while working under the hood, not that I do much of that anyway. A while ago, I had a conversation with Charlie, who runs HP, and he said they could easily add a larger size to their Sugar Cane shirts, but the demand just isn't there. I have suggested to Ciano that when he eventually moves into shirting, he will do well buy getting hold of some heavy flannel, as IH seems to have a lock on that market.

Yeah, not meaning that guys will "work" in a $300 shirt, but that there's tons of big guys out here. Got the same response from Gustin and others. Dunno, how hard is it to offer up one or two more patterns and make a few? Probably just as well - I sure as hell don't need a $300+ shirt.

I would have to assume there are at least enough big guys out there, who want quality, that would buy these if they could fit into them. I guess its just not worth the effort for them to just do a few, to accommodate. I think you'll be golden when Ciano decides to start making shirts, as I know for certain he will make you one that fits. He wouldn't want to piss off the big guy Texans group, lol.

...now back to the argument about whether or not this is the same fabric RgT used in their earlier drop.

Dunno, how hard is it to offer up one or two more patterns and make a few? Probably just as well - I sure as hell don't need a $300+ shirt. That's the thing that has never made sense about Gustin not making these sizes. They're saying, by not doing it, that there isn't enough demand for them to pay for having the pattern scaled up for a larger size. They don't have to make a thousand of them and have them sitting on a shelf in storage until they get cleared out. All they have to do is offer it, and if people don't want it they don't have to make it. The only other implication would be that to size up further makes the margin less than desireable due to an increase in fabric quantity. There are at least five guys that get mad every time Gustin releases another new product without offering a larger shirt size. If those guys bought a shirt every couple times they offered one, I would think that'd make up for the pattern cost pretty quickly, and I don't think their margins are hurting right now.

Yeah, I actually like the plaid that Gustin is selling on Saturday, but alas, no XXXL. Oh well, just have to stick with what I gots... And honestly, 3 shirts or a new leather jacket? No contest.

Giles did in the IH forums. I asked him. interesting - i did a zoom compare on photos and with the lack of rez they look identical. not that i care about this being a fabric gate or anything, it's just for my own curiosity and i'm not curious enough to buy the IH for comparison.

Yep, does look extremely similar which is why I asked Giles but like Dave said the IH fabric is 12oz as opposed to 10oz.
