This says "heavier than anything you are used to"...so hoping for heavier than 8. We can hope.

Well we need to remember guys, most people aren't like us...to the average clothing consumer an 8oz flannel is out of the ordinary. If you're at the mall at all this holiday season just take a look at the flannels in any given store...paper thin. 8oz is super heavy in comparison.
I think they'll be 8 oz like they have been. Although It's not 12oz IH thickness it's definitely substantial. They have a very nice feel to them too...very soft and comfy. I'm not super excited about either color judging by the blurry sketches but we'll see how they really look when they drop in a few hours.

If I wear one around the house, is it noticeable that it's thick to others?

I already have the Moto Utility flannel coming (9oz also). I'm thinking it's going to feel more like a Twill then a Flannel. So I guess I'll be forced to buy an IH Flannel.

12oz is no joke for a flannel which is why I love them. I'm in Phoenix fellas so I basically wear the IH heavy flannels as jackets in the winter with a t-shirt underneath. On really cold nights I would wear my thermal under my UHF and pretty much be good to go. This might be why the IHUK price of their flannels doesn't seem quite AS ridiculous to me, because they are basically my jackets and in the world of coats/jackets....300 bucks is pretty damn cheap.

I don't care what that IH Blue/Black Ombré WS cost, I'm buying one. As a Kid (9-14 years old) I delivered 150 News Papers wearing a Heavy Flannel just like that one. It's very Nostalgic for me.

I like the Ash. Kind of has a Vintage look to it. As if it's been washed a hundred times but has held up nicely.

To ickes point, I can see that. Which is also why I wouldn't pay that as I love my jackets and like to layer. So 9 oz. is perfect for me. Not totally sure I wanna go much heavier on a flannel, as I'll wear my various jackets over it. We actually get pretty damn cold here in Tally believe it or not as we straddle the frost line and aren't on peninsular Florida. We're really lower Alabama/Georgia, and we spend many a day at or under freezing in the winter. 6 winters ago, 20 days were fully under freezing the entire day. So I wear a t-shirt, a flannel, and then a jacket. These'll be wonderful for that, in addition to the moto utility and the blackwatch (yeah, yeah...I got it. But already got my tailor hip to the fact that I'll be bringing it in to switch out the buttons for some brown cat's eye corozo buttons). I'll be all set for the winter. EDIT: Well, I will PROBABLY wait until the end of the 14 days of this run and if in that time the IH 129s don't drop in Japan I'll get both. If the IH 129s do drop, I'll just get the Ash (though I love the brown buttons on the Navy).

You can fund at the last minute and not fund immediately because you may be worried that a desirable item will sell out quickly.

There's a difference between paying full retail and admitting that you would happily be charged *any* price.
