Just a heads up, PBJ's type 2's fit is kinda wonky. I wear a size 4 and though it fits it's tight in the arms and shoulders. I haven't worn my deep indigo one enough to fully break it in and i've yet to wear my houndstooth version. As for their jeans, I really want to try the slim tapered but the fit charts i've looked at put me off. I think the shoulders on a size 6 are like 22" so should be more than adequate, we'll see about the arms. The X-13s I've had were tight in the thighs and big in the waist. Sold them to @scooter and last I heard were working for him. Fingers crossed the jacket works! that's my concern with their jeans, tight in the thighs and not much taper in the hem

Apologies as usual for the poor pic quality. Got my size 6 in and it is indeed rather generously cut! It'll look silly with just a t-shirt, but paired up with a flannel or a sweater, it's going to be about perfect for a Portland winter. Here it is with my favorite wool Pendleton, really digging the combo.

I think the fit looks good. I can barely wear mine with a flannel underneath

Fit looks good on both you guys.
It's good that the armhole is generous enough to allow for layering. Iv'e stayed away from jean jackets partially for the very reason of the modern fit appearing to only be good for wearing a T underneath.

Too tight for more than a T and I'm not usually reaching for a jacket before putting a button up on first. I expect to own this one for a long time and I'm sure the extra room will come in handy when the old man spread hits.

I know PBJ just came out with the 18oz version of this jacket which I can't imagine trying to break in -- it probably feels like cardboard. 13.5oz is the sweetspot for me. I'm basically just gonna take me sweet time with it and let it fade slowly. I've only worn mine a handful of times and at this rate should own it for yrs to come.

Love how mine fits just grabbed the type 2 natural indigo one & hell might pick up 18oz also. Guess they must of heard me out about making the slubby 18oz fabric into a jacket like over a year ago.. still wonder why they told me no type 3 wonder what their hang up is on that. Will be releasing the 17.5 natural indigo in near future www.purebluejapan.jp/archives/6558

For that matter, not a ton of American brands making a type 2. I just assumed it's what is more popular in their local markets.

Isn't it because type 1's and 2's are true repros, whereas, type 3's came much later? Japan Blue and Iron Heart have done type 3's but most other Japanese brands i've seen have done type 2's. One type 2 that's been on my wishlist for awhile is the Momotaro/Blue Owl Workshop BOM009 collab. It's an indigo variant like PBJ's but has handwarmer pockets. But, that was 2 yrs ago. Last year BOW did a black variant but don't know about this year

I've all but written off their jeans since they can't seem to make fits that work for me I ended up selling it to fund a pair of jeans awhile back. I couldn't get over how long the sleeves were on me. Kind of regret it, it was a really cool jacket and would've looked great by now if I stuck with it. I had some nice creases starting to fade on it.

Yeah, the sleeves are long on me too. My remedy for that is to cuff the sleeve, however, I'm apprehensive about doing that because prolonged cuffing leads to wear in the fabric, like with jeans

I've been doing the same -- i'd grab my cheap Levis trucker and wear that more than my others. It's kinda sad that I have all these jackets but don't wear them much. Guess it's because I can beat the crap out of the Levis and not care, whereas with the others I don't want to get them dirty. Silly, I know
