Can we ban this guy already? I'm more curious if he's in a legal state what edibles he'd recommend.

I was REX I take it you have called cianofarmer with your issues recently? We have no problem with members posting when they have issues/concerns about their denim but we don't need to go overboard. We/you also need to do our due diligence in getting a hold of the shop we ordered from to rectify the situation.

Yeah. Informing on the situation and giving facts is fine, but posting the same incoherent rant umpteen times gets old.

We/you also need to do our due diligence in getting a hold of the shop we ordered from to rectify the situation. I tried that in the past. Staying up late and calling international to only get a bad connection was bothersome. They have stated that they have too many e-mails to answer them so the customers should call. That is not logical for an internet business. Also, when I went down that road in the past their solution was to send more of what I did not want instead of saying, "ok, let me send you what you ordered." And I don't even want the jeans anymore. The only resolution I want now is an answer to why they changed the fit guide from kickstarter...and/or admission that it was a ridiculous idea to do so. Last I heard from Ciano, they didn't even understand what the problem was. It has turned this into a weird struggle on principle alone. Don't worry, this is tiresome for me, too. I will disappear again soon even if I never get an answer. Plus, I am sure it is easier for Ciano to not admit this weird mistake and continue to allow me to make myself look silly. I am aware of such things. But this is the internet. It can be a weird place.

Calling has seemed to work for most everyone here. Not sure what country you're in but talking on to one seems like it could possibly clear up things. I would be calling everyday until we work something out that works for both sides. Just my 2 cents. Hope it works out.

Calling Ciano at his shop allways worked for me ... I am in Germany, so Need to wait until late afternoon before I could reach someone ... when I finally got through (tried several times with only the machine on the other end), Ciano was sorry, helpful and knew exactly what my concerns were ... we worked it out and my items are crossing the boarder while I type this.
So hopefully my 23oz plus a wabash vest will be with me to be reviewed soon .... too warm to wear atm anyway.
I will Report ... overdRAWn P.S.: yes, the waiting-time nearly killed me but as mentioned above, too warm for 23oz These days, so I don´t feel to bad about waiting as I do rock Ciano´s 16.5oz Chino for the last months (beautyful Fadings with only 1 cold soak already)

I should have my field hand jacket in lot #3 Texas Denim today. It took 21 weeks from the time I received and paid the invoice. I know from my other items it will be worth the wait.

Recieved my order (canvas chinos). Ordered in February. Best bet is to call CF if you haven't recieved an order in some time.

I'm waiting on a pair of canvas chinos ordered in February too. Also waiting on a replacement pair of the indigo Selvedge Style Forum Anniversary Jeans that were too small. Talked to Ciano last week on the phone and he said they'd be shipped this week. I'll give himanother call if I don't get a shipping notice by the end of next week.

Nobody wants to really touch your crusade against ciano because we like him and his business. While this is the internet and all, as you say, that doesn't mean it's okay to treat his business as you are. He's a small business owner doing his best which is respectable. Until you get in touch with him on the phone this whole conversation is in bad taste. Also, I just found the hidden rivets!

Received my canvas chinos that were ordered last November. Sure, it took a minute, but fantastic work by Ciano. I am extremely satisfied. I had actually started to forget all about them, then they showed up. It was a total surprise. The stitching is nice and I can describe the fabric as heavy, yet soft.

What do most folks do when ordering pants from ciano? On the fit guide, he lists the waist size and the waist size after a wash. I am a true 36 inch waist. Would you order the 33 tag size (36 waist, but 35 after wash) or the 34 tag size (37 waist, 36 after wash)? I'm inclined to order the 34 tagged because you can always do a soak of varying heat, but what say the forum?

Which ever you order (I'd order the 34) Post a comment on your order stating what your looking to get for a measurement after wash.

I've only ordered the canvas duck, and they will indeed shrink an inch in the waist and inseam after washing. His denim offerings are all sanforized, and will shrink a small amount depending on water temp, and drying technique, but I would follow the procedure that you normally would with other sanforized denims. If it were me, I'd order your size where they start out snug, and stretch them to the perfect fit. They will tighten up with a cold wash, hang dry, but will quickly return to your perfect fit. But of course if you like your jeans a bit looser, then adjust accordingly.

davelewis, what kind of wash/dry did you do to achieve the 1" shrink in the waist?

davelewis , what kind of wash/dry did you do to achieve the 1" shrink in the waist? I have a couple pairs of 12oz. duck, which I washed in warm, and normal heat dry, and got a full inch of shrink in waist, and inseam. I have an 18oz pair that I didn't want to loose inseam length on, so I cold washed, and hang dried, which still have me 1/2 inch shrink in both waist, and inseam.

Has anyone heard from Ciano lately? What's he up to/how's he doing? I talked with him a couple of weeks ago. He was out for a couple days as he had taken his mom out of state for a medical procedure. She was doing well, and he was back in the shop.

A few thoughts.
I like the new 1800 style with the 2 pockets. $200 per pair rush order on jobs........ The new fabric shots make it much easier to see what you are ordering. Yeah, prices have gone up a bit.
