Yeah, saw those on the Rawr post and nearly came over the price. But once I saw them, it was the ol' noon to six effect.
Just a little too unstructured and Boogie Nights for me. It's hard to break in natural Chucks without feeling stupid, these would undoubtably take much longer.

I like the oxfords, but it's only because they remind me of bowling shoes for no apparent reason, and I like bowling shoes, also for no apparent reason.

These are back on my radar..... At this price, they're a steal... Invest another $250 to be reworked by Brian the Bootmaker, and that's a sexy pair of stompers

I don't get it. But I guess style is subjective.

I also feel like the pictures pair is like a size 12 or some crazy bs. But, a rework on Brian's flat toe Role Club last could make these GREAT I think.

Lol! If I decide to pull of this task, I'm fairly sure these will end up as a phenomenal pair of boots on the end. Those shoes, on the other hand, are un-helpable

Those shoes, on the other hand, are un-helpable I really hope you're some kind of miracle worker. Now it makes sense why boots I put up are called horrible. It's because the people who think they are horrible are into these abominations.

As these are, yeah they are pretty bad... I see potential though. Stacked leather heels in the same fashion as my pair of RC's, and a flat toe box.

People need to look closer. The boots profile looks like the OSB Trench boots. The toe burnish is throwing people off.

Just need to oil the heck out of it. Not too sure about the color of the sole but the Vibram 2055 is similar to Danite sole. careginza.exblog.jp/22167695/

Are you planning on getting them and essentially keeping the upper but having the rest recrafted? Yes With a lighter colored outsole I could see them losing a lot of the clown look, though I think I'd just save the money and buy some thorogood Danville or whatever that are natural horsehide and $300.

I haven't dedicated myself to the idea yet... Have another boot purchase I'm excited about possibly lining up... Still just in the "plan" phase.

Although with your style you're probably looking to slouch them like your engineers, which you won't be able to do with the thorogood.
