Its a cool shirt, pretty subtle effect, and roll up the sleeves for a little more blue. I'd say go for it and use their good return process in case it underwhelms you for the price. I'd second that. Just got the shirt today and it's pretty cool. I preordered and got 20% off so it was quite a bit less than $138, so that probably influences my opinion. It is 7 oz fabric. I knew that when I ordered it but for some reason it didn't register that it's pretty heavy. Don't know that I'll wear this a ton in the summer. Mine will get plenty of use on those cool summer evenings when I'm throwing horseshoes and drinking chilled rose with friends.

I'm going to be playing Jarts with beer in the backyard of a city home. Not sure if it would work in that context, just not as suave as that horseshoe photo shoot. Thinking of passing anyways because of the color and the weight. Not real fond of a light colored shirt that is too heavy to wear in the warmer months.

I think you can sub out any backyard activity and beverage as long as the photos are taken in the pre-sunset golden hour. I take it you got the white instead of the blue (true indigo I'm hoping)?

Indigo cross jacquard US arrived today. Looks great, fits great (I must have weenie forearms and wrists). Possibly the nicest fabric of anything I own.
The RH side pocket and flap are coming off though (it's not defective, I'm going to remove it).

I could, but I'm not going to become an accessory to the crime of breaking your 1 year no spend.

That pocket is the darling of the TS design staff, and I'm about to kill it for the overall good of the garment. Seriously, the fabric is magic. The white crosses are slightly raised, which gives it a three-dimensional effect as it curves around things.

It's not that I wasn't going to do it, I just haven't worn it yet (85-90 here all week).
Anyhow, the only thing I'll add is that it feels almost like a very refined canvas. Can't recommend enough.

Still not a fan of the taping, but I do wish the white one was in my closet. Thanks for the pictures.

Damn those shirts look good. If I didn't already have the California jacquard I think I'd have to get one. Those buttons are cool.

I like that off white one. Thanks for the pics.
Went to look at the new short sleeve shirt they offered this morning and my size was already sold out.
Ahhh.

I took pics of them last night, just forgot to post them up on here. And like stinky said, I was going to take shots of them for WIWT, but at 90 degrees, these are a little heftier than I'd feel comfortable wearing outside.

Stupid pocket is now gone. Shirt now looks like it should have looked when it came from TS.
I'll take some pics at some point.
If i hold it to the light, I can see a dotted outline where the pocket used to be, and from what I have read, this will go away after washing. If you don't hold it up to the light, it is unnoticeable.
It's a little unnerving to start hacking up a $150 shirt before you wear it, but the thing is, you have to do it when it is new.
If you do this, use very sharp, pointy sewing scissors, and never against the shirt fabric itself. I do not recommend a seam ripper because those tend to be dull.

This is actually much easier to do than I make it seem. You just have to take your time, work carefully, and don't pull the seam apart in a way that will put tension on the fabric (and thus stretch it out where it was sewn together). Also, be sure to only use the cutting instrument against the fabric that you are removing (to avoid accidentally cutting the shirt). Basically, I snipped every 2-3 stitches from the surface of the pocket. The most difficult area is the beginning and ending of a stitching run, because of the backstitching. It took about 20 mins max for me.

Well I had a discount expiring and nothing being released really interested me.
So it was between the White Cross Jaquard and the just restocked Blue Everyday Chambray. I broke down for the White Cross despite the goofy flap pocket. Will see if I can deal with it.
In the end, the White Cross was more unique and versatile especially with my denim. I felt pretty locked into chinos with the Chambray plus it's nowhere near unique.
So if I like it, I guess I just have to wait a few months to wear it till it gets cooler. I agree with EX about the taping and Stinky about the pocket but I could not resist at $6 shipped.
There you go, 3 + paragraphs about a shirt. Thanks to all who posted pics.
Anyone own both the ISC Utility shirt and the ICJ Utility shirt? I ended up returning my ISC because it was cut too big and I'm wondering if this ICJ is a little smaller.
