$135 for a Khaki shirt? I think the price is really getting to the luxury brand territory.

Today I got my 2nd Pair of Gustins, the heavy american. The fit is perfect and consistent with the fit of my first pair, rainbow ID3. Also the turnaround was super quick, less than a month I think ( they were a gift so I'm not positive on the timeline. Anyway, at $81, short turn Round I am thrilled

I have to admit, I've held off on the Japan Khaki since I'm $400 into workshirts that haven't even been seen yet, and I'm thinking about giving the lawless a shot. If estimated time-frames are accurate, I'd probably end up seeing the lawless between the wabisabi and the italy bxb workshirt, and I'll know if I'm gonna regret the wabisabi and brown by that point, since I'm guessing that the hickory stripe will likely ship by beginning of November. I'm still thinking about it a bit, but those millerain and pendleton fabrics have me curious and near to taking the plunge.

I seriously am so anxious for the Postal...I hate waiting which is so bad for me because as I wait i look to fill my need for said item by buying temporary fixes. If I buy something & it is in my hands quickly I tend to enjoy the item without any need for more shopping

Just put myself on the hook for the Japan caramel chinos like I said I would. Been waiting for someone to get ahold of those (don't think the first run has even shipped yet) but I just had to. As nice as the chinos are, though, personally I think I'd rather have em in a five pocket design (not in the cpo sense) but I'm not gonna complain.

Super heavies 37slim Italy blackxbrown chore Army herringbone chore Cone 101 WS
Haven't backed jeans since like August. Won't back shirts anymore. I just can't justify the price for the shirts. New buttons might change my mind a bit.

Waiting on the Indigo Waffle Dobby shirt, Cream-Slate Flannel, and the Olive Dopp Kit to round out an expensive year.
bugula, if you end up wanting to get rid of any of the 36 slims, let it be known. I have 4 pairs in 36 straight, but wish the cuff openings were a bit smaller. They look fine with boots, but I don't love the way they look with shoes.

Waiting on that dobby, too, think it'll be a pretty cool shirt, and should have the new buttons (same, just thicker). I had the same experience with the straights and haven't looked back since I got into the slims. As counter-intuitive as it seems, they're much more versatile. It's boot season soon, so I'll probably give some of those initial straights another go soon. I know a couple others recently tried the slim, good experience?

The straights I feel were overly exaggerated as if people with waist in the 34-36 in range have ankles like a goddam elephant. I just dont get why some brands just dont get it. When you make hems this large you eliminate options with what shoes you wear. When I cuff mine they hover around my boots which basically makes my straights a knock around jean that will never be able to be dressed up if needed. If I go slim my thighs are a tad to big...I mean why in gods name would they make skinny jeans when slim straight would have instantly added a lot more buyers

It's boot season soon, so I'll probably give some of those initial straights another go soon. I know a couple others recently tried the slim, good experience? I'm a straight fit guy myself and I recently tried the slims for a third time and....well....I don't know, I don't really see how you guys do it. I don't hate the slim fit and I will wear it, but I feel that the slim fit is actually more limiting. Keep in mind I'm a 32 in slim and straight, so this has a lot to do with my opinion on the fits because at a 32" waist the cuff opening is not ridiculously huge per the fit guide. This is especially true if the cuff opening sews up small which has happened on several of my Gs. The 32 slims cuff opening is almost too small for me and really limits my shoe options. I basically can only wear Chucks or low profile classic Vans as any other type of bulky shoe just looks ridiculous...I feel like a clown....and don't even think about wearing boots with a 32 slim..lol...no way. I feel like I'm wearing a pair of those jogger denims. I am a size 12 FWIW. The back rise on a 32 slim is REALLY walking a thin line for me. It is absolutely the lowest I will go...most come in at around 14" and man it feels a little feminine at times, especially if I bend over...I feel like half my ass is sticking out, though it probably isn't. I also feel the slims limit my shirt options. I feel I cant wear any type of looser fitting shirt or button ups as the contrast from the fit of the shirt to the slims makes the jeans appear even slimmer...damn near skinny. Basically the slims are going to be my summer jeans that I'll wear with low profile shoes and athletic fit T shirts. I think a lot of it has to do with body type and shoe size and for me the straights just fit better. People often think my straights are a slim fit because of how they fit me.

This is totally down to bodyshape.
I cannot wear the straight. They look extremely comically too wide in the upper thigh area. I have tried 2 pairs and both were the same and I had to taper them myself. When you taper, you loose the selvedge, and its a must to do this to even be able to wear them so this shows how exremely bad they fit me.
On my body the slims looks like normal straights. They are also a tad too wide in the upper thigh actually but is ok.
It could be that I got a little bit of lovehandles going on and I never had a small waist even when Im skinny, my pelvis? is just a smidge wide. So this could make me have to get a size bigger then what i "should wear", and might result in the extreme fluffyness of the straights.
Im waiting on: x GreayxBlack H-bones x Grey silk x Cream slate flanell

The rise is really what has stopped me from trying out the slims. I think i'd personally be okay with the thighs and below the knees. But I wouldn't want to wait the usual 2-3 months to find out a fit didn't work for me, so I've resisted. I'm thinking about taking a pair to a denim tailor here in Chicago to have them tapered and see how it works out. The store that I've used to get my jeans hemmed/chainstitched doesn't do tapering, but they've recommended somebody else in the city that is supposedly good at tapering.

Weird. Just received a shipping notice for the latest run of Desert Duck Chinos. The campaign was only fully backed 3 days ago.

They just need to knock about an inch to an inch and a half off the cuff circumference on the Straight (certainly for anything above 34 waist size) and it'd be just about perfect.

Waiting on Loomies.
I was going to back the indigo waffle dobby, but I wanted the slim fit. So, I emailed the team about it. I got a response from Stephen Powell, on a Saturday night, no less. He informed me they would be offering it in a few weeks. I'm hoping they are true to their word.

heh... I have a fear of the slim with how close the regular shirts come in, but I'm glad they're finally releasing them for you guys that have been pleading for the fit in the regular shirts. That said, I did do an upsize on a work shirt to see how they fit, hoping to use them both (upsized classic fit, double-upsized slim fit) as overshirts, we'll see if it works out. First one should be here like what, end of next week? Exciting!

Waiting on the KingZimbs and Oak Teal Plaid. Went true to size on the KingZimbs... not sure why. Probably will be my last Gustin purchases for a long while unless something completely mindblowing comes out.
