In general, visible undershirts are just a faux pas... I don't really agree with this. I think it's entirely dependent on personal style and the context/situation you're wearing it in. I started typing this and realized I don't want to explain my position, and I'm probably wrong anyway. I'd rather show a bit of a t-shirt than have my chest exposed in certain situations where being buttoned all the way up is also out of place. Maybe that's a holdover from my puritanical American heritage. I also refuse to button the top button on a polo shirt, because that looks absolutely horrendous on pretty much anyone ever. By the way, how often do you guys polish the buckle on your shoes? And I totally didn't know you could still buy these.

I'm with exophobe on this. I wear visible undershirts under workshirts all the time, winter and summer. I don't under a regular button up like a Gustin or TS shirt, but work shirts I will.

It sure feels better without the undershirt. Looks like a perfect fit now. It's surprising the difference even a thin t-shirt can make under a shirt. If you take your undershirt and roll it up horizontally, that's actually the additional width it's adding to your body... even a thin t-shirt can work out to 1.5 to 2", which can make all the difference under a fitted shirt.

And this ^^^ pretty much clarifies what I meant by " In general"... The ONLY time my undershirt is visible is with a workshirt, because a workshirt is more of a blouse than it is a shirt... And, a little tidbit of info, the U.S. Army specifically calls their utility uniform tops "blouses". Workshirts are (To me at least) like an over-garment worn to keep your skin covered during tough, dirty and arduous work, which is why they are made of tough fabrics. And, t-shirts (Once again, to me) are underwear/under garments when worn UNDER something, so they shouldn't be seen. There are exceptions to every rule, though. And, I always say " You can't be a truly stylish person if you're always following rules". Make your clothes YOURS

Down with undershirts under polo's. You wouldn't wear two t-shirts together. A polo is basically a T.
Unless you wear three polo's at the same times but frankly I don't think we are three collar popped cool here.
