Guys, what's up. I didn't realize this is where everyone went! I've been wearing my G stuff and weeping alone in my room. But now...

Guys, what's up. I didn't realize this is where everyone went! I've been wearing my G stuff and weeping alone in my room. But now... at least you weren't naked and weeping in your closet. that's when people start to be concerned.

I see @mrrandal joined. Either a good sense of humor or even he wasn't good enough for DenimB. Kicked out of his own place.

Sorry for my belated thanks, Winterland. Big Thanks!! Buoyed by the talent pool who are the moderators here. Cream team, for sure. Great crew of members, too.
I'm 62, single daddy, artist, resident of Sydney. Dig denim. Here for:
- to be connected/hooked up w/ extremely tolerant woman who...(sorry, wrong thread, lol);
- to be informed re. HEAPS of stuff &, at the same time, be constantly reassured that there are 99 (at this time) other guys who are AT LEAST as "out there" as me!;
-to venerate the amazing stuff, regardless of origin/provenance (own & LOVE IH shirts etc.);
-to be assisted, via links/info etc. posted, to score the clothes I want & need/the clothes I really dig; hardcore, hi-qual, no b*llshit raw denim & related;
-to add support to the re-emergence of US Made denim. Yes, Orstraya (that's how heaps of us say it!) is part of the western world (!?)...anyhow, being of my vintage, had 50 years of bangin', clappin', screamin' & dancin' in Levis, Lees etc,etc...all that pop culture - the whole thing, our little worlds...and denim, right at the heart of it. Born & raised, just like Elvis...I'm backin' any & all the G's & L's...any crew that wants to get the party started.

Ummm, yeah, uh, full disclosure...I was slightly inebriated last night, and I created the Mr Randal acct. thinking I could pop in on occasion and have some fun with you guys...With a clear head this morning, I'm thinking "yeah , it could be funny, but maybe in bad taste" so feel free to delete the acct. I was going to use the acct. only if there were some flaming going on, I could come in and remind you guys that "We have a particular aesthetic here"(that's an inside joke,referring to what we were told by mr randall when we crashed his party) Hope no ones upset, and my sincere apologizies if I pissed any one off by doing it. highlights; you seem like a very unique individual, and I mean that only as a compliment. I'm curious what kind of artist you are? I would love to see (or hear???) your work.

highlights; you seem like a very unique individual, and I mean that only as a compliment. I'm curious what kind of artist you are? I would love to see (or hear???) your work. Thank you so much, Ickes...&, believe me, I've always admired the substance & style of your contribution to these pages. Yeah, I'm a bit "out there". Quaint old cabbage, lol. Shaped in many ways by the '60's & '70's, the Aussie continent/ethos, lotsa travel & time in Asia & beyond, 3 marriages later etc...most important, for me, is my 13 year-old son. Parenting is the biggest, realest thing that I've experienced. Love it. Still, like many men, I'm just smashed by a woman's beauty...no, not Robinson Crusoe on that issue, lol (pretty sure that you understand this, even better than I do, Ickesy! lol). Anyway, not good at heaps of things. Started making gardens, studied horticulture...loved it, still love it. I hung out w/ lotsa kind of artsy weirdos, lol, who, in fact, made the value and meaning of creative self-expression inescapable. Throughout my 25 years of creative activity, life has rudely obstructed many of my projects, lol...my aim is to create a small cohesive body of work. I have been mindful of 2 things: never plagiarize, we each have our own work; and don't be concerned about "success". Had some ups&downs, as you do...but, anyhow, I love the media that I work with - it's, well, have a look... One quick thing, at times I find it daunting to post, other times not. I kinda love basic anonymity. Anyhow, Ickes, straight-up & for what it's worth, I am only posting this 'cos of your kindness and interest. Thank you: www.robertjohnson-stones.com

highlights; I'm genuinely and truly impressed, seriously you have some serious talent my friend. I like your work...very earthy, natural...but clean, simple, and modern at the same time. It reminds me of a lot of Southwestern art that I can find in Arizona but with an Aussie twist. I don't know if you've ever been to Arizona but there are some cool little towns that I think you would enjoy and possibly draw inspiration from. Most notably Sedona and Bisbee. They are great little towns to visit. Thanks for sharing Highlights. you seriously have talent and I'm humbled by it. It's great to have a unique and talented character such as yourself on these boards. Respect.

Beautiful art Highlights...absolutely beautiful. I hope this isn't a stupid question, but, is that a kookaburra sitting on the toe of your boot? I would love to see Australia before I die, what a beautiful place to live. Good to see you here and welcome to the board mate

Hey-
My name is Eddie Donnellan. Long time Gustin interest, mostly all denim. Wanted to ask how do I do the introductions? Always enjoy all the back and forth on Gustin site. Happy to share more about me if I can learn how to do this right!

I'm genuinely stoked at your take on my work - indeed, totally agree that it's kin to the Southwestern movement: deep heritage, stunning geology/geography - absolutely!!! Very sadly, I've never been to the US - but have a few good mates there and, yeah, I'd LOVE to travel around the US - a MEGAFEAST of flavours!!! JUST MASSIVE...& Sedona and Bisbee would just rock my soul, brah...I'll be primed for a few epiphanies when I buy that ticket!!! Be a few more years...but I'm bettin' I'll be gettin' there!! Lastly, been blown away by the very good vibe and tone and functionality of this forum...I just mean across the board. Lots of feed from seasoned campaigners and VERY tuned-in guys (who are ALSO obsessive/possibly slightly deranged AND just LOVE this stuff)...thanks for your kindness, brother. Love it that you dig my work!!!

Really value that guys like you, w/ whom I share many mutual interests & sensibilities, relate to my work. Yep, very sweet treat for me!! I really notice & dig birds, too...not a kookaburra in the pic - but, yeah, they're such a cool bird. Got this pair of rainbow lorikeets that increasingly tolerate my presence while they suck out nectar from native blooms in my garden...took my son on a roadtrip, Syd-Uluru-Syd, almost 3 years ago - that was a special one...Australia is so blessed & I'm plannin' on eatin' up a lot more of it yet, too. Expecting my parental duties will allow me increased mobility again in the next few years - when that time arrives, doing some coldies w/ some of you guys would be hard to better!!! @eddie: welcome, brah!!!

Cobargo - lovely place, nice part of the world. Haven't been down to Cobargo for 35 years...but reckon it wouldn't have changed too much. lol. 638 population. David, I'm always lookin' for "offbeat inspiration" - can never get enough of the good stuff!! Your friend sounds like a v. good man to drop in on...if I'm headin' down there some time, I'll seek him out. Thanks, brah.
