thanks Winterland. where is this on the site? this goes in to effect now? the sizing is about a size different from the KS sizing chart Roman emailed it to me. I assume it goes in effect now. I did not ask him that specifically though. I will ask. I would email them if there are any issues with ordering from an old chart etc. if someone else finds out let us know as there is no sense 10 people emailing them the same question.

k - i emailed earlier but haven't heard back yet. will update. Cool..I posted a comment on the KS comments page too asking the same question. If I go by the KS size chart I would need a Large shirt, but if I go by this size chart I would need a medium.

yep...i'm XL by the old chart and L by the new. i like the more specific measurement vs. the range - hopefully they can confirm and adjust.

Sorry about the sizing on the shirts guys. I brought in a pattern maker from Lee jeans and he went thru all the pattern and made adjustments. If you order a shirt and the sizing has changed for you let us know. we will make sure it's a perfect fit. I never want to here is doesn't fit. My commitment to you is a prefect fit. that goes with anything we make. it's not about the money as much as it's about the quality and that you are happy with the product. the rest will fall into place if your happy.

Hi Roman,
Would like to know if you can make your shirts in a 50-52" chest, as there are lots of Gustonians who fit that bill. I think I remember seeing on a Lawless size chart where you offered XXL?

Does anyone know where exactly Lawless measurements are taken from? Specifically the thigh measurement, I know gustin measures the thigh 2" from crotch, but most denim labels go straight across from the crotch for their thigh measurement.
***was able to find a video on the website that would supposedly show the placement, but it's not up and running yet

Roman I'm going to complete my confirmation page for my work shirt from the Kickstarter campaign. For the measurements that I have to fill in are they my actual measurements you want or measurements of a shirt that fits me well?

Mr white,
I would assume he means a shirt that fits you well, so he could just transfer the exact measurements to the fabric, but that's just my opinion

unnamed; what fit did you go with? Also, did you order your same waist as you wear in Gs? For my Lawless jeans I ordered a 34x33 relaxed straight with a high-rise and got the exact fit I was looking for. My Gustin Zimbabwe’s are 32x34 straight and are a little snug in the top block and rise while still being a bit large in the hem area. wow. so you sized up two from your G waist?! A 34 lawless is a 32" waist? would you mind measuring the waist and back rise when you get a chance? I'm really confused on LDs sizing now

I can play with Gustins sizes a bit myself. I need a 36 waist but can realistically pull of a 34 & stretch the waist an inch & end up about .5 on the small side. Def would be good to hear what they came in measuring though

I'm really confused on LDs sizing now Waist is pretty much exactly 34’’ Front rise: Just under 11’’ Rear rise: just over 15’’ (+/- less than 1/4’’) I was going to mention that, if you measure your actual waist, you'll usually find the "measure it across and double it" gives you a much more flattering number. You can see this in the difference between your belt size and your pants size.

they do look great, happy to see that the quality seems to be there.
on the sizing though I am still not buying the logic that says we should measure our actual waist and order to that size. If I did that I would need to order a 34/35 and I would have a pair thats way too baggy. Unnamed said his 34s came with a 34" waist, so my 32s should come in at a 32" waist and all the other measurements on a 32 look spot on. I'm sticking to my same size I wear in Gs (32 sraight). The whole measure your actual waist logic does not make sense.

The whole measure your actual waist logic does not make sense. but do you want the waist to be a 32, or a 34/35? that's a pretty big difference. my G 31s arrive with a 31.5" (or slightly less) waist and stretch ~.5" to fit my actual waist. i can't imagine having to stretch 2-3". i'm not suggesting you change your sizing, or even advocating one method vs the other...only that roman seems pretty adamant about using your waist measurements and recently issued the statements that they wouldn't take returns on items if you ordered the incorrect size.

Well, to be fair, I don't think anyone gives a damn what the measurement is if it fits you. the number gotten from measuring across and doubling it does not equal the circumference of your waist. My Gustin size is 33. If I measure the circumference of my waist where my jeans sit, it's 35.5. You may say this is accounted for in stretch, but the broken in 33s I have sit right about 17" across. Based on their guidance, I would assume that if I ordered a 33 in lawless, there's no way I'm fitting in to those jeans. I don't know if there's a good way to use a measuring tape to measure circumference on jeans you're not wearing, but I can try that if people are curious.
However, what I would recommend to Ickes is making the trek to Phoenix, have them complete your measurements in-shop, since I think you're in AZ. If they can get your measurements and then also honor the online pricing, you're going to be able to guarantee fit at truly spectacular pricing for what amounts to bespoke clothing. I'm in Colorado and considering it. I think to blindly order a 32 despite direct guidance against is a bad idea, and based on what I've read and seen, I think Lawless would say the same thing.

I've also been looking at a lot of these things recently, so I'm not sure if it was Lawless or not, but I think they've also offered to send you a measuring tape for free if you ask. If you've jumped in with both feet, I'd recommend getting that actual measurement before they start cutting your denim, unless you wanna find a wee man to BST them with.
